We stayed in hotel Forni for one night as we wanted to cut our trip from Tuscany toward home in half. The hotel is situated near the Gottard tunnel and pass.
We booked a 4 persons room via swiss budget hotels website.
When we arrived we found a clean, nice hotel with a friendly staff.
We stayed in room 42 on the fourth floor. The room was spacious, clean, fully equipped. We only had a Velux (roof window) but is was OK. We had a 2 person bed and a 1 person bed. So we had to use a separate bed that was kept available.

We did not use dinner in the hotel but the menu looked OK. The restaurant looked very nice and the staff was doing its best effort. In stead we had pizza in the restaurant "Cristalline" next door. They served big Napolitan pizza's for a reasonable price.

Breakfast was in buffet formula. There was lots of fresh food and drinks.

The hotel also had guests that stayed in the area for a walking holiday.

We can recommend this hotel to others.

Our family of 4 just spent one night at Minotel Forni in room # 25. We loved the convenience: just a few steps from the Airolo train/bus station (departure point for hiking, skiing or sightseeing areas). The room is simple yet very comfortable, nicely arranged and clean. Staff is friendly. We also loved their wonderful, typical Swiss breakfast with delicious breads, croissants, colds meat cuts and coffee in their gastronomic restaurant. We're planning to go back.

We stayed at the Forni to begin a hiking trip through the Ticino region. It was the perfect beginning to a perfect trip. The hotel's rooms were sizeable by Swiss standards. They were decorated in a Swiss chalet motif and consequently were very quaint and cozy. The hotel's restaurant was excellent - it is upscale and attracted a lot of the locals in the area. If you're hiking in the region, you will probably get your best meal there. The desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We hiked from town to town in Ticino and stayed at four different hotels, and I thought the Forni was the best.
