We stayed three nights and my wife did not want to leave. The hotel is centrally located in Loire Valley which makes it ideal for exploring the historic Chateau.
The room was large with 14 foot beamed ceiling. It was just like the picture I seen on the web so I was not diappointed. The view of the trees was nice but the quiet was most appreciated as we just came from staying in Paris for a week. The bed was the most comfortable of all of the hotels we stayed in but the room price was the cheapest.
The dining room is very impressive in terms of food quality and presentation for such a rural hotel. The dinner at the hotel was better than the recommeded Frommers restaurant. The breakfast I prefer to get offsite however.
The only criticisim is the dated plumbing fixtures and the worn carpet.
This hotel is definately set up to please the American traveller with friendly staff that speak english and are willing to help. They suggested a hot air balloon company that not only saved us 50 euro but was one of only two balloons that were are able to lift off that evening due to it's smaller size. I think it is those extra things that make a trip memorable.
