Loire Valley, so you're probably there to see the chateauxs. This is certainly part of the experience.
A real chateaux, real rooms with authentic furniture, a peace and quiet rarely found elsewhere, clean, good service and near all the sights. A gem!

We stayed there as a base for exploring the Loire valley. The chateau had a decent sized room and bathroom. Friendly staff. The bed was a four poster but a bit small for me (I'm only 5 feet 11) but accommodation quite good on the whole. No evening meals mean a trip into Amboise or Montrichard every day. A car is therefore essential. Nice grounds but not a much to do or see on site, apart from the pool. Breakfast overpiced at 13 Euros per person for cereal, fruit, bread and cheese. On the whole, reasonably priced hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

The chateau is beautiful. We arrived around 4 pm and found the door locked. However, it was soon opened and the girl on reception was pleasant and acknowledged that we had booked a ground floor room (my husband is partially disabled). However, she was less than helpful when asked to recommend restaurants in the nearest town. She didn't know of any. This is the downside of this hotel, of course - no dining room/restaurant and it's a few kilometres from Montrichard. It's a shame because the hotel is in a fabulous setting. Our room was immaculate with a four-poster bed! The only downside was the breakfast. It was a buffet and being a Sunday morning it was very busy in the dining room but there was only one member of staff trying to keep the hot water, milk, coffee and food all topped up. Consequently, people were hanging around waiting some time for these things to be replenished. It rather spoiled the beautiful setting and what should have been a calm atmosphere. They would have been better bringing your chosen beverage to your table and then letting people help themselves to the food. However, it didn't really detract from a very pleasant experience.

this chateau has been modified to contain a number of rooms and suites. When you enter the long drivewasay, you feel like you have gone back in time. Then you see the Chateau, sitting proudly. The lobby and rooms are period and make you feel that this is how they lived in the day. The room was comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was modern. We had the continental breakfast for 13 euro. This was convenient but not exceptional. There are several floors and the lower ones fill up quickly. Hence when we got there only a top floor room (4 staircases up) was avaoilable. There is no lift so if you are travelling with an elderly companion or someone with difficulty walking, ask for a lower level room when booking. Theree is a pool, that we didn't use ut looked inviting, and a bar in the courtyard, that we also didn't use but was nice to know it was there. Room was reasonably priced at 100 euro for 2
