We stayed at the hotel as a walk in and were presented with the room rate which we discovered the next day was per person and not room, the receptionist told us that this was the case in the whole of Austria (no its not) and she had been there 17 years (or similar) and never makes mistakes (after complaining in the evening that she had so much work). After we checked in we discovered that there was a wedding taking place and the restaurant was not available, no room service either. As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere that is an issue, never mind the loud music of the band into the later hours. The staff at breakfast not very friendly and seemed taken back that we only spoke English and we sensed that they were talking about us as well. Breakfast was ok not wow. The rooms without and details or loving touch are nothing special, the flower cover on the small couch was probably from the 80ies and the TV maybe as well. The bed was rather low and the mattress quite soft.
The hotel has no lake access, we would recommend another hotel as there are plenty around the area as you have to walk down a steep path, cross the road and then have access a small public beach. The only really nice things from the hotel is the outside castle style and the view from the restaurant, not from the room though, we looked straight at another wall.
Quite disappointing and overpriced all in all!
