Gorgeous style, breathtaking view of the Traunsee and mountains. Great location right on the town square (and still delightfully peaceful). Great hiking in the mountains nearby. Terrific hosts, nice breakfast buffet. Loved it!

After a grave disappointment caused by another local hotel, hotel Seehotel Schwan put a smile back on our faces.

Lake facing room on the second floor, nice restaurant and helpful staff (had a nice family run feel). Would be more than happy to stay their again.

Seehotel Schwan has a great location in Gmunden overlooking the lake. But that's all you gonna get. The hotel looks like the owner has not invested in it since the early 1980's. You can find hundreds of better places to stay in Austria for the same money.

A comfortable, friendly hotel in an excellent position. The food and service were excellent and every posssible consideration given in respect of a wheelchair user in her 90s. My one criticism is that a bedroom and bathroom need to be made more wheelchair friendly, but the hotel has accepted this criticism. Would stay there again.
