“A jem - a real "must go".”

Other people will probably have described the grounds and cottages far better than I ever could so this is a more a report on how we felt about the place.
Arriving after dark, we were greeted by a group of staff - including it turned out later the manager - waving a frantic welcome. Drinks and cold towels you might expect but this was a genuine welcome. Every time we came back to the lodge it was the same - pleased to see us. We were ushered by torchlight to the main building while our baggage disappeared off int the night. The service here is friendly and efficient with your own butler always on hand to bring you hot water for coffee at 5:15AM each morning, put a hot water bottle in your bed last thing every night and everything in between. Evening drinks (free flowing) are on the house - a nice touch I thought. We made morning and evening jeep drives into the park, plus a birdwatching trip by boat and an elephant safari and also a walk to the local village. It's only a pity we couldn't stay longer than the four night that we did.
Bird and animal sightings are good with the drive to the park a wildlife experience in it's own right (we saw Leopard, Wild Dogs, Jungle Cat all on the way to and from the park plus birds of all types). In the park were Bears, Giant Squirrel, Deer, Bison etc and more birds. I could go on but you get the picture - I want to be back there now.

Thanks Ian & Judy for your honest feedback. It was indeed a pleasure having you all at the lodge. Great to hear that you enjoyed yourself as much as we enjoyed hosting you. Aly still keeps talking about the lovely sighting you all had of the Leopard and Wild Dogs in the Buffer area. We will send you our latest newsletter which covers the entire sequence of events on camera traps. We look forward to welcoming you once again in the near future.

“Best Time Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

My family and I have stayed at many resorts all over the world. My top two are Reni Pani and Maldives, both have their own beauty but the service, friendliness and cleanliness are the best that is out there!!! What makes them even more amazing is their attitude towards small children!!! They were patient and loved showing and teaching my 8 yo and 6 yo the various birds and animals during both the jeep safari and the elephant safari!! The food was exceptional and the rooms were extrodinary given that you are in the middle of the jungle!!! I quote my boys "We definitely want on go there again but want to stay longer!"

“Jungle experience at its best”

We (me,wife & 6 yr old daughter) have been to Reni Pani lodge this Christmas vacation and had a truly fantastic four days stay at this place. Firstly the staff were so friendly and exceptionally well trained to attend to guest needs ..kudos to them.
The property itself is absolutely gorgeous in middle of the jungle and you need to experience to explain it. The entire four days we did not feel away from home with such a well made food . The lodge organises 2 trips daily one in morning and one in evening and we could enjoy the jeep safaris, elephant safari, vilage walk etc.
The very first day we embarked on our first jeep safari. It proved to be immensely suspenseful and thrilling, We saw- Spotted deer, Sambhar deer, The jungle fowl, black mongoose, herons and many other birds. The safari was going on at a leisurely pace, when suddenly the action got heated up with an alarm call from the Sambhar Deer. The naturalist who was guiding us, became alert and followed the deer. When the LEOPARD noticed us, it immediately froze. We too froze, charged up with the thrill of seeing the live action. The leopard must have been standing observing us for more than 2 or 3 minutes. The leopard sighting was the hot topic of discussion that night during dinner at the resort.
The dinner is set up in different places on each day. Outdoors, indoors, and by the pool -an amazing setting with fire and candles. the best part is the dinner time provides good opportunity to socialise with other guests and share experiences.
The rooms were were tastefully made ,clean large ,spacious and well themed to the location.
Cheers to the owner Faiz and his team for a wonderful experience !!

“Great unwinding experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011 via mobile

Reached Reni Pani around 12.30 pm. On arrival we were greeted by staff waving their hands, cold hand towels and refreshing drinks. This is a very cute way to welcome and happens each time you return from a visit to the park. The lodge is in a private forest covering 30 acres with 12 cottages. The entire construction is very ethnic and basic but yet with all comforts.  The chef turns out excellent soups and dishes at all meals cooked with local ingredients. The food is basically Indian but the chicken and mutton dishes are to die for.

The park entrance at Madhai is 12 kms from the lodge and we have to cross the Denwa reservoir. The area across the river is the Satpura Tiger Reserve spreading in an area of 1500 sq kms and going all the way till Pachmarhi. All park activities start across the river.

We took three gypsy drives one elephant ride and one boat ride during our stay. Although we did not see any major animal except one sloth bear and two herds of gaurs, we found the jungle very attractive with a variety of foliage and loved each visit. Trips from entry point start at 6 am and 3 pm and days start early with wake up call at 4.30 am as the drive till the entry point takes half hour.

We were so happy with our stay at Reni Pani that we extended it by one day. Faiz, the owner, was our naturalist. He and is brother, Ally, are passionate and enthusiastic of what they are doing and try to provide the best experience to their guests. People coming without wildlife on their agenda are not encouraged.

“Wanted to stay so much longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

We visited Reni Pani Jungle Lodge last month, it was an amazing experience. Tranquil surroundings, beautiful lodges and excellent wildlife watching. Faiz, Ali and the staff make sure you are well taken care of without compromising on their eco credentials. Go now and visit Satpura NP before it gets too crowded. We shall be back to see more wildlife and try more activities.
