Other people will probably have described the grounds and cottages far better than I ever could so this is a more a report on how we felt about the place.
Arriving after dark, we were greeted by a group of staff - including it turned out later the manager - waving a frantic welcome. Drinks and cold towels you might expect but this was a genuine welcome. Every time we came back to the lodge it was the same - pleased to see us. We were ushered by torchlight to the main building while our baggage disappeared off int the night. The service here is friendly and efficient with your own butler always on hand to bring you hot water for coffee at 5:15AM each morning, put a hot water bottle in your bed last thing every night and everything in between. Evening drinks (free flowing) are on the house - a nice touch I thought. We made morning and evening jeep drives into the park, plus a birdwatching trip by boat and an elephant safari and also a walk to the local village. It's only a pity we couldn't stay longer than the four night that we did.
Bird and animal sightings are good with the drive to the park a wildlife experience in it's own right (we saw Leopard, Wild Dogs, Jungle Cat all on the way to and from the park plus birds of all types). In the park were Bears, Giant Squirrel, Deer, Bison etc and more birds. I could go on but you get the picture - I want to be back there now.
