2 night stay with co-worker.
Staff was very polite and helpfull (gave out small maps of the city).

Room had good standard with modern look, flatscreen tv and the usual chans.
Bed was comfy and didnt hear any noice from other rooms or hall.
Room was clean and had a nice bath with several types of soap.

Wifi was good and stable, didnt have to use any mobile broadband at all.

Breakfast had very high standard, nothing to put my finger on.

All in all, highly recomended.

Expensive like many things in Norway but a pleasant hotel - great breakfast - sauna and heated pool an added bonus. Room lighting very poor - not sure if this is typical of Norway. Airport bus stops right outside. Restaurant too expensive for us but there is a great little pizza/kebab place downtown - 5 minutes away.

Stayed 1 night before Hurtigruten cruise the next day. Not sure how is compares to other places in Kirkenes, but we found it VERY expensive for the quality of the room.

The room was quite large and it was clean. However, it was quite dated (not a problem in itself, but we are paying more then we normally do). If travelling in summer, note that this hotel doesn't have aircon or fans and the room was uncomfortably hot. I imagine this is only a problem for a short period of the year. As you have 24 hour sun, I would have liked darker curtains too.

Buffet was very nice in the morning. Location of the hotel is also very good (across the road from the town square and a supermarket). Bus drops of at hotel from airport (not included) and also picks up for Hurtigruten (also not included).

We stayed here for one night after our Hurtigruten cruise. The hotel is right in the centre of town and is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The beds were really good and the breakfast was excellent - ours was included in the room rate. We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner as I did think it was rather expensive with nothing for kids, we we ate in town. The swimming pool was an added bonus. I thought however it was outrageous of them to charge so muchfor using the internet kiosk- 3 kroner a minute or 40 kr for 30 minutes - the hotel is quite expensive and I think internet could have been included in the price.
The guy at the tour desk of the hotel was very helpful, although nothing much was running the day we were there. (Saturday) which turned out to be not a good day to be in Kirkenes as very few tours were going, and a lot of the shops, such as they were, were closed.
If you have to stop in Kirkenes, this is a good hotel to stay in, but I certainly wouldn't recommend staying long in this town, there isn't a lot to do, unless you can do some of the tours.
