We stayed at the Pestana Vila Sol Hotel for one week in January.The hotel although quiet was a superb place to stay.Our welcome from the reception staff was excellent nothing was to much trouble. We had a room in the main hotel no 323 which had a lovely balcony with all day sunshine and as the weather was wonderful each day this was a bonus and the rooms are extremely well appointed. As in previous reviews we can only reiterate that the breakfasts were plentiful and superbly presented to a very high standard.
We can not over estimate the truly exceptional staff not only the hotel but the golf course as well all of which are assets to Pestana.During our stay it was my wifes birthday and the hotel even made her a cake with a signed card which was a wonderful surprise for her.
The Vila Sol golf course was extemely well presented with super speed greens especially on holes 19 to 27.We have played this may times in the past years and found that this time it was the best.We found a super restuarant at the entrance to Vila Sol at the roundabout called Passiegem and if you love fish this a wonderful place to visit and we were surprised at the very reasonable prices for such high quality food.We also visited Oscars Bar which is opposite the Passiegem restuarant and this place serves excellent food and great entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights again at very reasonable prices.If you wish to visit these places they are about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the hotel
There is also a supermarket at the entrance to Vila Sol.We did have one meal in the evening at the hotel again excellent presentation and high quality.
This was our fisrt time staying at this Pestana hotel and we will return and would definately strongly recommend others to do so.Thank you again Pestana for such a wonderful stay and to Yourgolf travel .com for such a organised and trouble free holiday.

We've just had a long weekend at Pestana. We were given a lovely, spacious room with a fabulous view of the golf course (to husband's delight). The room had all the regular amenities and there was an indoor pool area with excellent facilities as the outdoor pool was way too cold! Breakfast was superb and the choice was excellent. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, helpful and polite. The golf courses are fabulous and the leisure staff were also incredibly helpful. Our weekend was fantastic and definitely somewhere we would visit again!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel over Christmas in a garden suit.The rooms were quite comfortable and spacious. The King bed in our suit was around 2 metres wide and very comfortable,the bedding changed several times during our weeks stay.The breakfast buffet was very good, we only wished the orange juice was freshly squeezed. We found the food was excellent especially, the lunch of the day at the golf club.10 Euro which includes drink.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and could not be faulted.
Yes we will return.

I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend in June. We drove and It wasn't easy to find. The common lounge area is not particularly comfortable or attractive. The rooms were large and quite comfortable and the pool area was nice and spacious. The breakfast room was very cosy and the breakfast buffet was good, even though the orange juice was not freshly squeezed, which you would expect in a hotel like this. The staff, although friendly, knew very little about the surrounding area, which is strange. The Spa is very far from the hotel itself, so not very convenient. The beach was far, you have to drive. Not a hotel I will be staying at again, considering the wide offer of hotels in this area of the Algarve.
