Have stayed here several times in the 1 bedroom villa but never in the summer season. The weather was in the high 80s and the lack of air conditioning meant that the evenings were very humid. However this is such a great place to stay that this wouldnt put us off. The 34 apartments are set in the hillside so that they feel quite private and the complex is very quiet. The small supermarket has just reopened after being closed for a year so all the basics are now available. There are friendly new owners of the bar/restaurant with good value meals, a meal for 2 ( 1 gammon, 1 ribs) with drinks came to less than 25 euros. The pool area is always quiet with plenty of sunloungers available . The villas although needing a coat of paint and updating are very well equipped, the only thing missing is a hair dryer. Villamoura and its many attractions is a 5 minute drive away. There is a bus stop right outside or reception will book a taxi for you if you dont have a car. Falesia beach in high season is busy with expensive sun loungers but if you buy a sun umbrella for 12 euros from the supermarket in villamoura you can find a quiet spot and pitch it on the beach like the locals do. The villas also have its own dog a small papillon/miniature collie cross who was abandoned but is now looked after by the staff, he is wary at first but will soon eat ham and bacon from you!.

I visited the complex whilst staying with friends and was recommended to go to the Bistro, the food, was very good value for money, i found the staff both courteous and willing to make you feel welcome. i would recommend Paula and Baz and their staff at the Bistro to anybody thats wants a good meal and to be made welcome.

The Do Golf complex is about 3 kilometres from Vilamoura. It's a perfect place for relaxing, especially if you don't play golf as the pool area is virtually deserted during the day. (The water was freezing but bearable).
Great one bedroom apartment, so spacious and very clean. Halogen hob, microwave with convection, fridge, toaster, kettle etc.
All you can eat buffet breakfast with both hot and cold choices so anyone who complains needs their heads examined!
Courtesy bus to the local supermarket at 9.30am, collects you at 10.40am. Bus also runs four times a day to golf course, beach and marina, (last one 5pm)
Taxis to marina charge about 6.5 euros.
Evening meals in hotel good value at 12.5 euros for a 3 course set meal. A la carte also available and it's really not bad. More more choice in Vilamoura restaurants and our favourite was the Casa Do Pesca with brilliant food, service and value. Just ask the taxi driver to drop you off there.
Entertainment in hotel is low key but pleasant.
All staff were friendly and helpful, we were even given a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary!
Would thoroughly recommend the Do Golf to everyone (except perhaps teenagers who might find it too quiet for them).

Stayed here for 2 nights in August and had a good experience.
The hotel is good value for money, the rooms are large and very clean.
Has 1 pool which is a decent size , it's very quiet by the pool you could hear a pin drop.
Breakfast at the hotel is average as is the lunch.
Decor in rooms and hotel is slightly old fashioned but the hotel rooms are very clean.
Hotel is a fair distance from the marina but a shuttle service is provided.
Overall if your looking for a hotel on a budget in Vilamoura then I would recommend this place. Very quiet though so if your looking for somewhere with a bit more life then go elsewhere.
