“Linda/David”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

Just got back from a fabulous week at Prado Villas. Really lovely location villas a bit dated but roomy and spotlessly clean and the swimming pool was a good size. Isobelle at reception very helpful. Level walk of about 30 minutes to the marina but worth checking out a couple of restaurants nearby - Monte Sol - great for lunch and the Pirate - bit more expensive but really gorgeous setting for a special night out. Will certainly go back again.

“Really pleasant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011 via mobile

We've just returned from a stay and I have to say we couldn't fault the place, on arrival we were told our villa was just renovated and couldn't get over how nice it was when we let ourselves in, everything brand new and seriously modern, all rooms had air con, extremely large bedrooms, en suite had a rainforest shower, main bathroom had 2 sinks, bath and shower, sitting room was spacious beautifully decorated, large wall mounted flat screen tv, l shaped sofa, dining table etc and again brand new modern kitchen with all mod cons Inc dishwasher, we couldn't have asked for more! Pool spotless and perfect temp and plenty of sunloungers, grounds immaculate.

Only downside was that it's around 20 min walk to the closest shop and it's a total rip off, almost twice the price of Jafers but it's only €5 taxi fare to the Marina and great supermarket there. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it

“Great Family Resort”

We stayed at Prado Villas in May. We are a family of 4 (2 kids aged 6 & 10). The resort is very spacious, great for the kids to run outside and play while we relaxed in the villa. The villa was spacious and comfortable. Not far at all from the centre of Vilamoura or the beach. We will definetely return again to Prado Villas

“Excellent Value - did the trick perfectly. Hiring a car a must.”

Stayed for 1 week with my partner in a 2 bedroom villa which cost us just over £300 for the week. The villa was very spacious, had all facilities you would need and a lovely outside area with spacious communal pool and lovely, well maintained gardens.

Yes the decor is somewhat 70s and it is not what you would descrive as luxurious, but the Hilton is just across the road and probably more than double the price if thats what your after.

We hired a car which helped immensely with driving around the area very easy. I would recommend printing your own maps / directions beforehand as it could be tough to find in the dark, however we took a couple of google maps and had no problems!!

Bargain, self catering villas with everything you need in a great location for a great price. What more can you ask for.

“Relaxing break in the Algarve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2009

If you want a centrally located place within easy walking distance of beaches, restaurants and shopping then Prado Villas is probably not for you.

If on the other hand you want a quiet relaxing break in a comfortable villa in beautifully maintained grounds and don't mind driving to the shops and restaurants then Prado Villas could be just what you are looking for!

When you find a property listed on Expedia at £15 per night you start to suspect that something must be wrong but reassured by the TripAdvisor reviews we went ahead and were delighted to find that it is even better than we were expecting. (We actually booked through Sky travel and with a £100 Sky Perks discount the total cost of the holiday was less than the cost of booking flights!)

Unlike many self catering holidays couples are not discriminated against with 'under occupancy' charges, instead there is a cheaper one bedroom villa rate although all of the villas do have two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with bath and one en-suite with shower).

There are only 18 villas spread around quite a large site with mature trees and flower beds. The Old course is on one side with obviously very expensive mansions on the other sides, some were being renovated leading to some noise but not excessive. On most holidays we tend to spend most days away from our hotel sightseeing but we found the villas so nice that we happy to spend much of our time on site just relaxing.

The villas are not perfect though the faults are not major.

They would not suitable for those dependent on a wheelchair since there are three steps between the bedroom/bathroom area and the living area. Fortunately this was not a problem for my wife.

The TV only picks up very snowy Portuguese stations but a satellite dish was being installed on one villa during our stay so this may be resolved shortly.
