We visited the hotel as a couple during the 1st weekend of February and we both agreed we wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
We arrived around 2300 on Friday due to heavy snowfall and once we checked in we headed for the room hoping for some rest and warmth. If only! The room was more cold than the car drive had been and it took nearly an hour before we could heat it up: nobody had bothered put on the heat and it was -14 outside!!!!
Not a very promising start for the weekend, but then again neither was the fact they didn't have a room with a double bed: all their rooms come with twin beds. We made do but from a Resort place you kinda expect more.
Breakfast in the morning was ok, nothing spectacular but not bad either and we really enjoyed our visit tot he sauna and pool. The sauna we paid extra (about 10 euros pp) and was quite intimate and fun for both of us. The pool was also good to have, yet we would have liked bathrobes in the room rather than having to put on our clothes after the dive.
For the evening we had booked a 3-course dinner which we had no idea was preset and if you wanted a free choice from the menu you had to pay 6 euros extra pp. The first course was goose-liver pate which seriously disturbs me as an idea and they were kind enough to change it to a pumpkin salad with no extra charge while my friend wanted to avoid the salmon for main course and they gladly allowed him to switch to duck. However the service was EXTREMELY slow, the waiter was chatting up some other customers for 15 mins and all our attempts to get the next course were simply ignored. Eventually, after he was done talking and returned to his post, and still ignored us, I stood up and went to him to ask for some service! Similarly when we wanted to get the bill we were ignored till I started getting off my seat. We weren't exactly impressed though the food tasted decent.
We stayed 2 nights and they didn't change the bedsheets after the 1st night, however this came as little surprise: but after having dealt with a cold room the first night, water running on the floor during the shower because the separator wasn't right and the obvious need of a renovation for the room why should we expect the sheets to be changed after a single night???
Walls were paper thin, I could hear all activity on the corridor and the neighbors rooms, the room smelled musty if we left the bathroom door opened (bathroom had no proper ventilation and soundproof) and overall we were only too happy to get back to our apartment.
