On a recent business trip to Belgium I stayed at this beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Belgium. The hotel prices in The Netherlands were better than Belgium and since it was only minutes from my business location it was the perfect choice. The food was amazing. The staff translated the menu in English the best they could and I wasn't disappointed with anything. All the food is fresh, fresh, fresh. The bed was so comfortable. In the evening I relaxed on the beautiful outdoor patio and was served coffee and hazelnut chocolate every night. Two negatives are 1) no air conditioning in the lower level of the residence house. The windows did not have screens so some insects got through. 2) no wifi in the residence house. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back.
A lovely hotel with beautiful views of the Limburg hills. The rooms are very big, tasteful, comfortable and clean with free fast and efficient wifi set up properly on each floor. The breakfasts are good, the usual continental variety and there's lots to choose from, probably one of the best breakfast I've had in a hotel for a while. The gardens are wonderful and very well kept with direct access from the back to miles of woodland walking routes.
However, it has a small swimming pool which in my opinion is closed way too early at 7:30pm, so if you like to spend your days not confined to the hotel, which in this area of The Netherlands you shouldn't, put kids that need to eat early in the mix, you can forget about using it. We've been unable to use it for the 3 days we booked and specifically chose this hotel for the pool, which we love using after a hard days mountain biking/snowboarding so we wish we went elsewhere. They also charge extra for the whirlpool, other hotels in the same area, don't. One of the staff also tried to claim all hotels do this which just so obviously isn't the case, including other hotels within the same area. Pity about this because it would have been perfect.
I will recommend it to people, but isn't ideal for us.
Our third visit in about 6 years and it has wowed us each time. Everything about this hotel fits my requirements for a peaceful, relaxed abode with fantastic staff (which appears to remain constant over the years) and fabulous food. Can't rate this hotel highly enough when the cost is taken into account. The fact that a bus stop is sited very close to the hotel makes trips to Maastricht etc. very simple. Perhaps not so perfect for young families although there is a small indoor pool, a tennis court and pleasant garden. We can't wait to return.
I loved this hotel! I love a hotel in the middle of nature, with nothing to do but take long walks through the countryside, or long bike rides. The staff was extremely accommodating as to the bike arrangements. They have a small inside pool, and a sauna. The grounds were lovely with gardens and fountains, and a tennis court also. But the most special thing about this hotel, was the restaurant. Superb food, and combined with the relaxing country setting, it made for an ideal, perfect, relaxing holiday.
