Overall our stay was quite nice. The service was a bit uneven at times but the people were very friendly and worked hard to accommodate our needs. The food was very heavy on cheese (which seems to be a Netherlands specialty) and low on vegetables and greens. One of our group had dietary restrictions and had a difficult time getting appropriate food. For example, at one meal he ordered the salmon but that salmon came with baby shrimp on top - which violated his food restrictions. Generally, he ordered a separate green salad which met his needs adequately but it was a challenge to see him have to ask constantly to have his needs met.
The area is quite remote - without a car we were fairly stranded. There are nice areas - a beautiful pool, and other areas to relax and play.
The rooms are adequate if a bit spare. The free internet wi-fi is great - especially compared with the difficult access and exorbitant rates charged by other hotels.
The meeting rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Our workshop was held next to another meeting and there was absolutely no noise problems - unlike many meeting rooms in large conference hotels.
I'd recommend this for other workshops. My only suggestion is to arrange for at least one person to have a vehicle to take groups into local cities for site-seeing or meals.
