My wife and I, along with our daughter and her husband stayed here for two midweek nights at the end of August 2010.

Easy to find, difficult to park the car: they do however have a car parking arrangement with another hotel fairly close by, so once unloaded we had no problems parking up for the duration of our stay.

The hotel is located on a fairly quiet one way street, close to the shops and bars of this popular Dutch holiday resort. It has a large bar and lounge area covering the whole of the ground floor. It caters for large groups (like school trips or football clubs entering tournaments etc), as well as travellers like ourselves who were just passing through. We were the only visitors during our stay, so it was very quiet. Really pleased there wasn't a British junior school football team staying at the same time (loads of penants on a wall shows they do come here).

The rooms were fine, dated (bottom half of all walls were dark wood paneling, top half purple paint), but fine. Toilets and showers had seen better days too, but both worked as advertised, so no problems. Our bed was one of those split doubles with a mini-gap between. The sort that your elbow can find at the most inopportune moment.

Breakfast was very good indeed: Bacon and scrabbled eggs, boiled eggs, loads of breads, cold meats, cheeses, packets of cereals, jams, chocolate spreads, those little chocolate sprinkle things the dutch love, crusts to pour them onto, fresh friuts and a selection of juices and hot drinks (from a machine). All beautifully laid out just for us, as far was we could tell anyway. Breakfast was from 08.30 until 11.00, so we might have missed some other guests I suppose.
