Web for De Bogaerde has NO connection to the WALDRAM yet reception are working on the Waldram site. We ended up on the telephone and reception quite arrogant and did not see our point.
Found this to be a typical reaction from reception during our stay.
Christmas food and entertainment great. Room in the De Bogaerde at front, on square, needed repair, no heating until complained, left cold overnight..lovely! Gave us a large electric heater next day.
Only night porter when youngsters created riot outside and another group tried to smash in the front door. I asked that police be called. The police were too busy to come...nice one. They were only called at my request after nearly an hour of disruption.
Next morning the reception response was negative, excuses after excuses. Older folk, ladies and singles, left barracading their bedrooms expecting the worst. Night porter left vulnerable as well.
Could do much better for a Best Western Hotel.
Back rooms quieter and Waldram rooms more to standard....eg. heating.
Somebody is not checking and not appreciating their guests feelings. Reception lacking on town information and rely on the internet.
Meals, cleanliness and service great...pity about the rest.

just returned from valkenburg lovely hotel in town centre very clean ,staff cant do enough to help, lovely food ,the only comment i have to make would be about the pillows they're filled with chopped up foam not at all comfortable if they get them right then there would be nothing bad to say .we had a brilliant time
