We booked this hotel after only minimal research- our criteria being 'not too far away from the centre of town', 'not too expensive' and 'includes breakfast'
We struck very lucky with this small/medium family run establishment.
The location is about 2 minutes from the beach, and maybe 5 minutes walk from the restaurants on the 'prom' - and there's an excellent selection (chinese, mexican, italian, etc.).
The room had a pleasant balcony. There was more than adequate space (think Travelodge) with a clean shower / loo and secure wardrobe with a safe inside. There was a small TV, and bedside radio. If you want tea / coffee making faciliteis you have to pay extra, which I felt was a bit of a cheek.
The 'restaurant' for breakfast was in the basement - a typical European 'all you can eat' type buffet. There's not too much room, and I think it might be possible to arrive when there's no tables available. The restaurant only does snacks in the evening, but has a well stocked bar.
The owners were very, very freindly and extremely accomodating. The hotel seems to be frequented by elderly germans who seem to have been regulars for some time! Children are accomodated, but there doesn't seem to be any specific facilities.
The hotel is clean and tidy, but feels a bit 70's-ish, which might detract for some people.
I would most certainly stay here again - and I would most certainly revisit the lovely beach, and freindly people of Noordwijk.
