This place is mainly run by apprentices, which in itself can be fine if they are guided well. Now there lies the problem. My husband asked for an aspirin and the reception said they couldn't give it because of liability issues. An aspirin... We ended up having to go to a night doctor and all-night pharmacy about 12 km away to get... an aspirin. It turned out my husband had a fever, so the recipy was aspirin, vitamin and a good night's sleep.
If that was the only thing, I would have frowned my eyebrows and left it at that. That same night, however, we were submerged in the basses from the pub in the cellar. The app on the iPhone registered 49dB in our room. At midnight we telephoned reception to ask when we could sleep, they told us they would end it immediately. At 00:45 hours we tried to call again, as the music still continued at the same levels. We could not reach reception, we got a cell phone number and its voicebox. So we walked to reception in stead, only to find 2 staff members happily talking to one another. Finally the music ended around 01:00 hours and we could sleep.
Still, if that was the only thing, we could maybe frown our eyebrows and think it is an unfortunate coherence of incidents.
But when we used the bathroom the next day, we were shocked: months of dirt was piled up in the air suction, fungus was in the rubber joints in the bathroom, tiles were opened up and stuffed with filth and there were silverfish running around.
We then realised that the incidents were in fact signs of the total mismanagement of the hotel.
We went to breakfast about 15 minutes before the formal latest moment given by the hotel, only to find that it was already being taken away. We realise we were the only ones to have breakfast at that time, but we did however pay for it. We were told by staff that we were running a bit late and we should really be in time next time... is unacceptable.
Alas we have nothing positive to report on this hotel... it is just terrificly bad.
