Found out about this residence hotel from Alliance Française, a great recommendation. It's only a few hundred meters outside the Périphérique (the boundary between Paris and Vanves). We have stayed here 3 times now, and plan to return again on our next trip. The rooms are huge compared to the many hotels where we've stayed in Paris.
It's relatively easy to travel to and from - you can easily take métro 13 to Malakoff/Plateau du Vanves and walk to the hotel in about 5 minutes. The metro is in zone 2. If you want to take a bus, there's the 58 or 89. You can be on the banks of the Seine in about 25 minutes.
If you have a choice ask to stay in one of the rooms in the back, they are much quieter than the ones facing the street - it's amazing how noisy the cars are at night on the rue Jean Bleuzen.
The hotel staff is friendly and speaks English. The rooms are clean and depending on what rate you want to play, you can have hotel service (cleaning every day) or residence service (cleaning once a week).
There is a petit déjeuner served for an additional charge, but we liked to go across the street to a charming boulangerie for a croissant and café. There are plenty of nice restaurants in Vanves, or in nearby (walkable) Malakoff.
There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a couple of hotplates, plates, glasses, cups, and silverware. There are no cleaning supplies, bring those with you or buy at the Intermarché market a couple of blocks away. The market is comparable to grocery stores in the states.
In short, we think this is a great find. If you're not afraid to venture away from the tourists, you'll like this hotel.
