My other half and I stayed in room 101 (!) of the Panorama Hotel in September. The views were spectacular and the weather lovely. The hotel is very clean and the room was spacious. The food was plentiful and there was a lot of variety, although I must admit that the complimentary wine with dinner was absolutely undrinkable, so that "freebie" was a non-starter for us.

As a couple in our twenties, we were totally outnumbered - the vast majority of guests were over 50. This didn't bother us in the slightest, but we thought it worth mentioning. If you're looking for a younger crowd then definitely head to Malcesine or Torbole, where we saw a lot more people our age. As we were after a quiet and relaxing holiday, this hotel was perfect for us.

The shuttle bus was NEVER on time, so we walked to Limone. It was a lovely route with a few hills but again fantastic views and only took about twenty minutes.

We can thoroughly recommend trips to Malcesine and Riva - very pretty towns with lots to see. Also, do try an Aperol Spritz - an aperitif which looks like Lucozade but tastes great!

We enjoyed a fortnight stay at the Panorama and have nothing but praise for this delightful hotel. The main highlights for us included:

the stunning views;
the consistently good food, both in variety of choice and quality, with the free alcohol being an added bonus;
extremely helpful and friendly staff, they responded promptly to any query and always had time for you;
the standards of cleanliness.

We read some of the previous reviews, and:
Yes, it is a lengthy walk into Limone - but the shuttle service is regular and reliable, it could just do with a midevening trip as well;
Yes, the rooms are a bit small, but still comfortable and well appointed.

We regularly stay in 4 star hotels abroad, and this one compares favourably with any others we have experienced, plus the outstanding location. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

we stayed here in May four 1 week and to put it bluntly we will never return there. The food was disgusting both by the pool and in the resturant , on every occasion the food was cold and sometimes very salty. This is not what you would expect from a four star hotel and in Italy the home of good food.

Within the hotel there are dirty carpets and in our room 510 we had lots of ants fully embedded in our carpet. It desperately needs cleaning and a massive refurbishment project to even get close to three star status. If you want to stay in Limone i suggest you look for an alternative hotel.

My friend and I went end of august, everything was lovley in the hotel, plenty to eat in resturant, so much choice, very clean room, had a balcony over looking the lake, just beautiful, staff very helpful, entertaiment at night was good, we had so much fun
