Visit sept 2011. The All'Azzurro is a charming period style hotel in a brilliant location, by the lakeside, near the ferry pier and close to the centre of this picture pretty resort. We paid a little extra for a balcony, full lake view room (well worth the extra). We were pleasantly surprised to find the room had new air-conditioning and a useful fridge. The room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day.
We stayed half board. Breakfast had a wide choice, from bacon, sausage, scrambled or boiled eggs, continental; jams, cereals, choice of breads, fruit etc. The staff were attentive and helpful at all times.
The evening meal consisted of 5 courses, including a quarter litre of free wine. The meals were really nice, varied and tasty, occasionally the veg was a little over cooked, but on the whole it was exceptional value for money.
The swimming pool on the first floor terrace was bordered by lime and lemon bushes and overlooked by a pretty 15th century church and the cliffs behind. Again with lovely lake views.
The resort centre is pedestrianised, so the hotel offered a free buggy service to the town car park for trip pick ups. We would visit again, although perhaps in May as the aspect of the hotel, (Limone is on the West of the lake) meant that in late September the resort looses the sunshine from late afternoon.
