We stayed one night on our way to another venue, we upgraded to a poolside room which was spotlessly clean and decorated in typical Italian hotel style. The staff were helpful and friendly, the pool area is very attractive. Breakfast was quite extensive for Italy with lovely fresh pastries and croissants which you could if you wish take back to your table outside your room.

We had one meal in the restaurant which was excellent.

Our group of 8 stayed here in early June 2011 on a cycling tour of Tuscan hill towns. This was the most "resorty" of the hotels we stayed at, but after a day of cycling, we really enjoyed relaxing in the pool with the water-jet loungers. The meals at the hotel were a bit pricey and not that inspiring, but they have an affiliated restaurant in the old town of Monteriggioni that serves up excellent food with a much broader menu. The hotel provides a shuttle van to/from the old town at a cost of €10 each way. Having a room on the pool side with doors opening right onto the patio was a nice touch and the air conditioning worked great. Others have spoken of the decor, which was a bit heavy and ornate, but we spent almost every waking hour outside so it wasn't really much of an issue.

This place could have a lot of potential. Lovely location, spacious resort grounds. Very nice exterior. But the strangely decorated and very dark rooms, high prices for average food and beverage services, nit-picky approach to services and dour staff are a turnoff.

Great staff, there was a mix up over our reservation and they handled it like pros. The rooms were very clean and cleverly decorated as well as comfortable. Breakfast was elegantly served and a great start to the day. It was the best stay of our trip.
You will need a car as it is a little out of the way but they do have free parking. and easily accesable to the main road. Great base from which to explore Tuscany. Only gripe that you have to pay to go on line, a 4 star hotel should consider including this.
Would return to stay again.
