We stumbled across this nice little pension in Lindos, Rhodes. It is run by a sweet Greek lady named Christine who doesn't speak much English but is easy enough to communicate with using the help of hand gestures. If you phone, she will try to find a guest who can answer basic questions in your language. Most
rooms appear not to have a private bathroom, but we stayed in Room #1 and it had it's own W.C. The room itself was basic but clean and comfortable. It had it's own little refridgerator unit, but there are no room phones or TVs. There were three twin beds and we pushed two together to make a larger one. Our room also had A/C, but we had to ask Sophy not to shut off the power to the A/C unit at night after arriving back from dinner late the first night to discover it had been shut off from the fuse box. A large industrial ceiling fan on the high ceiling kept us comfortable enough through the night anyway. The room overlooked courtyard with tables and chairs that was great for meeting fellow
travelers. The courtyard had a lovely western view of the village and some water views. The pension was perfectly located between the beach and shopping and dining. We were there mid June 2007, and at the time only paid 40 Euros a night. A nice little Greek experience and definitely a great bargain! (Pension Electra Tel: ---)
