First impression when you push open the brown door is the overwhelming scent of Jasmine from the courtyard along with the sight of Bouganvillea. Our studio apartment offered us a lovely traditional room.The owner met us straight away & was the friendliest & most helpful lady the whole week long, from offering me her Greek tea as I had a cold on arrival to phoning taxis etc at the end. We were very happy being this end of the village as we like St Pauls Bay & opt to stay this end. We have been to Lindos before and so we wanted to relax this time rather than sight-see which we were able to do on the lovely patio full of Anastasias flower pots, she is a very caring & attentive host & we had a great holiday!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the family-run Erato Apartments in Lindos. We were both interested in exploring some of the less touristy parts of Rhodes and the Erato Apartments provided us with a great base to take some wonderful day trips. In addition to enjoying Lindos town and the stunning acropolis, we hired a car and visited a number of sites in and around Lindos. Even in late October, we managed a swim at the local beach which is only a 5 minute walk away. We loved the attention to detail and the sweet little touches in these apartments. Apparently, it was originally the house of the family's grandmother and the lower floor apartments and courtyard have the original pebble mosaics, old black and white photos, beautiful carved wooden furniture and local textiles and ceramics. You kind of know the moment you walk through the stone archway into the enclosed courtyard - covered in sweet-smelling jasmine and flowers, that this is a little special. Very reasonably priced and run by a lovely couple and their daughter it is really well worth a visit. Don't forget to try the local sesame and honey sweets called Melekounia. They are totally delicious!

We have now stayed at these appartments on our 3 visits to Lindos and are never disappointed. Tasia the owner is always so friendly and helpful and full of information about the area. The Erato is situated in the village very close to St Pauls Bay and is overlooked by the Acropolis, you can waive to the visitors while you enjoy your breakfast on the sunny patio, but it is quiet and relaxing. On your return in the late evening you are welcomed home by the beautiful aroma of Jasmin which grows in abundance in the courtyard. All rooms have aircon which is a must in the summer months, Lindos is a hot spot!!

Lindos is truly wonderful and this was our first trip back since the late nineties. The Erato Apartments to us epitomize Lindos, they capture the essence of this beautiful place, the culture, the history, the feel and the warmth of the people. Anastacia, Haroula's (the owner) mother was incredible during our stay even down to making several local calls to help us during the very start of the 'ash cloud' disruption and offering us an extra week for free if we could not get home! So this holiday in Lindos was our best ever, beautiful Lindos, Erato Apartments for the true feel of Lindos and the wonderful Anastacia! Ray & Pauline Wicks
