“Brilliant Holiday - Sept 2011”

This was our first visit to Rhodes and we could not have been happier with our choice of the Lindos Sun Hotel, ‘Small & Friendly’ being the perfect description. Superb welcome from Margarita on arrival made you feel instantly at home.
The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and the lack of TV did not bother us although we did take an iPod docking station with us for music. Breakfast choice was good and Dinner also, the minted lamb by far the best meal. The pool was fantastic; it was new and large with the same depth throughout, about 5’. It was surrounded by gardens with a grass area for the sunbeds and there were plenty of them with no towels left on them to ‘save’. The pool restaurant had a good menu selection, reasonably priced and generous portions. The lemon & sugar crepes were delish 
Lindos Old Town was a good 15 min up hill walk and depended on the time of day, as was about 30 degrees for most of our holiday, but the view along the way was brilliant. There was no rush anyway, we stayed for 2 weeks and filled our time perfectly with plenty to see and do without hiring a car and the buses were cheap and reliable. There were plenty of taxis too if preferred but can be pricey if using all the time.
To sum up, we loved the Lindos Sun hotel and the Old Town by day and night, one of our favourite holiday destinations.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Lindos Sun. We have been to many small and friendly hotels but this one comes out top. All the staff are excellent and go out of their way to look after you. We very much enjoyed getting to know them. Lovely variety of freshly cooked food both in the restaurant and poolside bar. The rooms are basic but kept clean daily and the addition of a small fridge is very welcome. The pool is lovely with plenty of room to swim with padded sun beds that you don't have to fight for. Lindos is a delight with something for everyone. Lots to explore with some beautiful views. Keep doing whatever you're doing it really works! One in a million.

“A little gem of a hotel”

My wife and I have just returned from the Lindos Sun. Never could the words small and friendly be more appropriate. The staff are excellent, particularly Marguerita, the restaurant Manageress, and Peggy who runs the poolside bar. Its 40 bedroom size gives the staff time to form real relationships with the customers- you really get the strong impression that it MATTERS to them that you have everything you need.

The pool is just perfect- only a year old- some 33 metres from end to end, quiet with no one "bombing" you as you swim.

As for the rooms, yes, they are basic,, but they are kept immaculately clean by the small three lady team of cleaners who also went out of their way to say "Good Morning"

There are strong rumours that the ownwes wish to increase the size to 80 rooms next year, I really hope that does not affect the feel and ambience of this delightful little hotel.

“lindos sun experience Sept/Oct 2011”

Just returned from Lindos Sun hotel - very nice place, staff all very helpful and friendly - Margarita, Peggy (fantastic homemade Moussaka), Stavros, Eri, reception ladies day and night. Missing blue skies already and the pool. Met some nice people there also, Keith and Elspeth, Alan and Sandra, Mick and Anne - very relaxing had some laughs. Good choice of food, used local buses into Lindos - would recommend late pm/evening visit to Lindos and the Acropolis - less heat and less people!!!! Some days Acropolis free entry. Had 2 meals in Lindos Stefanys and Alexs on the rooftops, wonderful views.

Room Tip: If possible ask for a room on an upper floor overlooking the sea/pool area - we had room 118 parial...

“Delightful setting, warmest of welcomes”

The hotel is most attractively situated about 1 km walk from Lindos. Rooms have either a balcony or, if ground floor, a private area, which give good views of the bay. Rooms are adequate and clean but have no TV - the TV is in the dining room. All staff are very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive and the manageress is a star! Meals can be taken either in the air-conditioned dining room or outside on the terrace. The meals are all served buffet-style and there is a good range in the menu - the meals have a greek influence as one would expect. There are two bars - one on the terrace by the hotel and the other by the swimming pool. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large grassy area with sun loungers and parasols (needed in the heat of the day!)
There are buses along the main road to Lindos and Rhodes which are worth using for the experience at least. Some guests found it worthwhile to have a hire car - we were there for one week and felt we didn't need one, although if we had been there for longer would have had one for part of the time.
For beaches, the local one is not very attractive because they are dominated by large expensive hotels, but the ones in Lindos and St Paul's Bay are better.
Lindos is a beautiful town with lots to see and explore - we never tired of visiting it!

Room Tip: Our room was in the main block, but I think the ones in the annexe are better - ground floor, attrac...
