We decided on staying at the Hotel Chancilleria after reading TA reviews and are glad we did. It was in all ways, very comfortable and very good value for money. We chose not the most standard room, but one grade up and so there was a little more space - modern decor and very pleasant access areas and restaurant in the garden where we had a late lunch the day we arrived. The breakfast was one of the best we had in our two weeks in Spain, with lots of food, great variety and some very original offerings : figs and goat cheese one morning, for example. The management checks the breakfast buffet constantly to make sure everything is re-stocked. The staff were beyond helpful - they had booked tickets for us for Bodegas Tradicion and also for the Cartuja Horse Stud and had been helpful with advice and in answering our email queries which made the process of arranging our holiday so much easier. This personal touch makes all the difference. They gave advice as to where to go for real flamenco shows (not the tourist trap stuff) and best of all on our second night we were recommended to try a restaurant nearby. Unfortunately we don't remember its name but if you ask the owner they will tell you, because you would never find it on your own - it is Italian and has sketches of Michelangelo's David all around the walls ... it was the best meal we had in our two weeks in Spain.
While the hotel is in a narrow street, this is just par for the course if you are travelling in Spain and driving into city centre areas - we have certainly experienced much worse driving conditions in Seville, Granada and Cordoba - it's just something you have to accept, but if you have a map, it's do-able. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
