“Bright spot in Jerez”

We visited Jerez de la Frontera for two nights on our honeymoon. Overall, the city is a disappointment and the Baths were really the only thing memorable of our time there. Jumping in and out of the warm, hot, and cold baths and then get exfoliated and massaged was great. We had late appointment ( I think 8:30 p.m. or so) and it was a nice way to end the day after walking around all day. We were not rushed at all and there were only a few other people there. It was very clean and clear instructions were given upon arrival. Maybe it's a real touristy thing to do--but it was fun.

“Fascinating, relaxing, and enjoyable”

We booked the Aloe Vera massages during our stay in Jerez and were very pleased. It was definitely worth the money, which was my main question going into the experience.

We started our visit by switching between the warm, warmer, and cold pools of water until we were called for our massage. First, the masseuses led us to a private room with two marble platform beds. Buckets of pleasingly warm water were poured over us, aloe vera was rubbed over our skin, and our whole bodies were exfoliated. After letting the aloe vera sink into our skin, we were once again rinsed with buckets of warm water and then given a yummy sweet mint tea before the massage itself in another room. The whole experience was very relaxing and pleasant. I am glad we decided to spring for it!

On a side note, the Arab baths in Granada seemed a bit out of the way, and we ducked our head into the ones in Seville but did not see much of them. However, the ones in Cordoba looked intriguing and smelled delicious. I might have considered visiting those as well if I had known how great this experience was going to be!

“Relaxing”

Only knew about this arabic bath because of these reviews on here...it is a must for any day trip to Jerez. Two friends of mine and I went and had an incredible and relaxing time. The cold bath takes some time getting used to, but overall the whole experience is fantastic. Much cheaper price than the arabic baths in Sevilla too.

“Well Worth a Visit”

During a brief stay in Jerez we had the good fortune to schedule time at the Hammam Andalusi Arabic Baths. This was a first for my mother who was a little aprehensive about the whole thing. We had a delightful time. The baths were amazing, the massage perfect and the tea - just the right way to end our delightful visit.

The proprietor was most welcoming and was very accomodating when we ran behind schedule.

“Very relaxing!”

We went to the hammam in July this year. At first we thought it might be a bit strange to go to a hammam when the temperature is way over 40 degrees outside, but it was absolutely wonderful! It was nice and "cool" inside (in comparison) and the moment you have slipped into your bathrobe and entered the pool area, you start to relax. The interior design and the music are kept in authentic Arabic style. There are three swimming pools: one cold, one steaming hot and one medium (nice and warm). We had booked an Aloe Vera treatment for 2 people, which included a scrub and a massage afterwards and have rarely felt so clean and relaxed!
