“Beautiful hotel, wonderful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

We stayed in Jerez for two days during our tour of southern spain. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, set in well kept gardens complete with a lovely outside pool area.
We did not use the resturant facillities as, only having 2 days, we wanted to sample as much of the local life as we could.
The reception staff were great, giving us their views on the best resturants, sights etc.
The hotel, like many in Jerez is not far from one of the many Bodegas in Jerez and we did visit the home bodega of Tio Pepe, which was interesting and well worth a visit.
The hotel suited our needs fully. It was comfortable, with large well equiped rooms. Would definately use it again.

“Short but wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We stayed at Prestige Palmera Plaza with a couple of friends for one night recently, enjoying it a lot. Our rooms were large, very comfortable and situated in a building in the midst of a nice garden with a reasonably-sized swimming pool on one side. The service was good (a welcom drink of sherry at the reception when we arrived, for instance), and the breakfast was delicious.

The surrounding streets are rather dull but there's only a short walking distance to the centre of the city with its nice pedestrian area, its cathedral and and the most centrally situated bodegas. Also, the hotel is very close to the Sandeman bodega and to the Royal Spanish equestrian school with its enjoyable although rather touristic show.

Money-wise we got a good deal: some EUR 125 for a large luxury room with breakfast (per two persons) - quite a bit better than other hotels of the same standard. It did seem unneccessary, though, to have to pay EUR 12 for parking in the hotel's own yard....

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

We stayed at the Prestige Palmera Plaza for 4 nights and drove down from Malaga which we found really easy on the toll road and then on the dual carriageway from Algeciras. The hotel is really impressive from the outside with the bedrooms in a separate building to the reception and dining room which is reached through large gardens. The pool area is very peaceful and pleasant with a small bar with snacks available. The only down side was that there seemed to be a lack of staff - we had to telephone reception to get a drink at the pool! The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The bathroom was quite stylish although we did have a problem with smelly drains (room 302). The public areas of the hotel are light and spacious with modern artwork on display (available to buy). The hotel is conveniently located for all attractions in Jerez which is well worth a visit and very 'Spanish' - no Brit bars - heaven! Would recommend this hotel for a short stay as it is not possible to dine in the hotel and you have to walk into the centre of Jerez for tapas bars/restaurants although there is an Argentinian steakhouse nearby which was passable.

“grand hotel on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

when we booked in and you walk up from reception, you look ahead and my wife said can we afford this and is the price right, well it looked a million dollars very grand, the hotel is set in big gardens and away from the reception, palm trees line the walkway upto the auto opening doors to the accomadation area, rooms where good size and looked grand, but a little tired. the pool was good size, breakfast was buffet style and good selection. staff very helpfull , and set in a great area close to sherry houses and the jerez horse centre, a great hotel at a good price.

Room Tip: all the rooms where good quality no negatives here i would book online with SPLENDIA hotels good pri...

“Exceeded expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

A few negative comments on here led us to be apprehensive about what we might get. However it exceeded our expectations. Our rooms were very spacious and clean, ours was on the ground floor with a small patio containing a table and chairs overlooking nice gardens. The pool was a good size in a well maintained area. Visiting a family member meant we had no intention of eating so cannot comment on the food. The rooms did not get any noise from nearby roads as they were set well away from the reception area and restaurant which border the road. It is about a 5 min walk to Calle Porvera which contains a number of restaurant/bars which offer some good food, a few minutes walk down this road and this leads to start of the
main shopping area and restaurants. Our 4th stay in Jerez, but 1st here, will have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.
