Hotel Avila provided a very friendly and helpful staff, and small but spotless and charming room facing out onto the street with geraniums blooming on the terrace across the way. Both the staff who spoke English and those who did not were gracious and helpful, even with our less than perfect Spanish. We asked a million questions and always got great answers to make our stay in Jerez more enjoyable, including tips on where to see Flamenco, excellent nearby restaurants to meet our budget, and shops.

Small very friendly hotel conveniently located in heart of Jerez. Very clean, good bathroom, but no fridge, and despite the description parking is on the road and sometimes difficult, finding the hotel from the airport is tricky with Jerez having a fiendish one way system.

This hotel is a great place to stay if you want a spotlessly clean, no frills hotel in a good location. It is inbetween the train/bus station and the town - 10 minutes walk each way - which makes it good for travelling around on public transport or strolling into the city. The hotel also arranges car parking. The staff are very helpful too. There is nothing going on in the hotel but the life of Jerez is on the doorstep.

Hotel Avila is just in central Jerez, a 10 - 11 euro trip from the airport.
The rooms have air conditioning and a TV. They are also dark. The bathroom was sufficent, everything worked and was clean enough. However it is possible to lock yourself out of the bathroom! Then you need to ask for a special key, and none of the staff we met spoke any English so take a phrase book! The beds were jammed in in the triple we stayed in, two adults and one child in May 2004. The bedding was clean, rooms made daily. We were chanrged full price for our child (aged 7).
We booked ahead because we landed late and we couldnt find many online options for Jerez. If you have more time or more choice, I would chose elsewhere.
