“I believe the golf is good..but beware in February”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We wet to Jerez last February and stayed here for 3 nights. The problem was (or was not) depending on your perspective - Formula 1 circus was in town.

This more than doubled the price of the rooms from the usual. Rate. The restaurant became a little canteen like particularly at breakfast.

The standard room was fine and as I said for the usual rate would be fine. The Hotel is about 15 km from the centre of Jerez and as such a cbit of a trek each day if you use it as a base.

The leisure centre was very poor and dated (but I believe it is being refurbished this winter).

All in all as a destination golf hotel its average to good.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a golf view

“Lovely hotel, great golf course.”

We just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable 4 day golf break here with unlimited golf. Firstly the hotel - we stayed on a B&B basis, got a great room with balcony overlooking the course and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in any hotel in the world! The breakfast was great, loads of choice. We are not big eaters or drinkers so we found B&B fine for us. We paid 170 each with Golfbreaks.com for 4 days B&B with unltd golf and spent approx another 60 euros each on food and drink, which worked out quite a bit less than their all-inclusive rate, but it depends on your priorities which option you take. The service in the hotel was very good, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa and swimming pool were closed for "repairs", so it seems to be a regular thing that it closes over the winter months.
The golf course and facilities were excellent. To play in the footsteps of the worlds greatest players is a treat and the course has some wonderful elevated tees, especially the 18th. It is as other reviewers have stated a very long course because of the hikes between greens and tees. We normally play with standard trolleys and feel fine but on this course we found it do-able but quite tiring. We played twice a day (need an early tee time in the morning at this time of year) and to do both rounds with a trolley was quite a feat. Not very good for your game. My only criticism with the hotel is that their price for the buggies is prohibitive - we would have used them more often had they not been so expensive - 39 euros per buggy per round (if you play again in the afternoon you can hire your second buggy of the day for 20 euros).
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would go back again but might have to do some endurance training first!!!

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor above the reception on one side and bar on the other but we had no n...

We have just returned, we booked a villa but didnt like it very basic maby ok in the summer but a bit cold this time of year ! so we upgraded to a junior suit much more inviting & cozy. Played the very chalenging course (you do need a buggy) not for beginners. The food is ok not 5* the staff are very plesant. Good value if you play golf but if not go elsware as its geared for golfers.

“well worth a visit”

A group of us went on a hotel and golf special deal which was excellent value. Friendly healpful staff, nice atmosphere. Our room was a good size clean and comfortable. Food was reasonable and the restaurant nice and spacious. It is situated on a first class golf course so if you are interested in golf it is an ideal place to go.

Room Tip: the front rooms overlook the golf course, the back ones an unfinished building site.
