Just dropped into this hotel while on holiday travelling through Spain, and it was a cracker. We were out of season, but all the facilities were on tap. The pool , Spa and restaurant were all good quality, and we had a very relaxing stay.

I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is exceptionally dated, it is in a time warp. The staff do their jobs but there are few smiles or effort. The whole place feels as though they work to a 5 star tick list. Yes, you get a robe, a chocolate on your bed at night, a mini bar (of sorts) etc. However, it isn't done in any style, everything is old and ugly, the sound proofing is non existent. You can easily hear conversations in the adjacent rooms.

The outdoor pool looks stunning but is closed from September. Shame, as I believe the Brits and Germans may have used it and given the place a bit more atmosphere. The "spa" looks tiny and not worth 15 Euros for an indoor swim and who is going to pay 16 Euros each for a tacky buffet breakfast when there is a cafe over the road where breakfast cost 6 Euros for two people. I have stayed in much worse, but begrudge it marketing itself as 5 Star, I would still have stayed and enjoyed it more if I hadn't had higher expectations.

All that said it is in a good location for exploring the region and the city, the parking is free and it is definitely a region/city worth exploring. I would possibly go back, but I would know what to expect.

I have staied at this Hotel several times in the past years and always have enjoied its location and service. However I feel the rooms now need urgent attention from the management because they are really not up to the 5 stars class. The furniture is almost spartan and really outdated, details are down to minimum, pillows are from another age and decoration is quite poor. It is sad to see such a nice hotel fail in these basic details. This establishment is very carismatic and has excellent cuisine. I hope to come back sometime in the future to a renovated Hotel Jerez. This city is wonderful and full of caracter and has lots of interesting places to visit and this Hotel is well situated.

We went to the Hotel Jerez with a group of over 30 people last weekend. The experience was OK. The rooms are small, mostly with two single beds. Everything you need is there - but "5 Stars"?? Easy to find, as it is located on the main road. 10 minutes cab ride to the shopping / tapas restaurant area. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was very fine. Nice pool area as well, sufficient and safe parking.
