On a one-way street near the Plaza Mayor (and so also near the old walled town), the AH Agora is a modern hotel in a historic city.

The breakfast buffet is good and there is free wi-fi (you have to get the password from reception) - NB coverage seems a bit patchy, and I found I had to be near the stairwell on the first floor to get a connection.

Finding the hotel by car can be a bit tricky when you first arrive. Because the hotel's on a narrow one-way street I found it difficult to spot - and by the time I did, it was too late to stop and I had to go around the city's one-way system again to make a second appproach. I was using the hotel's underground car park and they valet-parked the car for me when I first arrived, which was helpful as access to the car park is via a car lift and the space is quite tight within the car park itself.

One of the fee hotels in Caceres that is easy to park outside, great for unloading luggage. then the car was moved to the underground, very secure car park. Room was clean and comfortable and very queit. Very close to the old town and restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good,not a huge buffet but everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The internet connection was great and free.

We spent two days in this hotel. It is quite new and therefore everything is in very good working condition. The location is excellent at less than 5 minutes walking distance of the monumental city and in the middle of a lively area with nice shops and restaurants. The hotel is nevertheless very quiet.

The parking is limited but there is a public parking 200 m down the street. The rooms are standard though illumination could be better. The safe is free of charge. The bathroom is standard.

Breakfast as usual in this type of hotels.

To sum up, perfect place for a visit to caceres

I agree completely with the other reviewers of this hotel: new, clean, well-equipped, well-located. Nobody mentioned the interesting parking lot which uses a car elevator: drive the car in, hit "minus 2", elevator descends to underground, door opens, drive out. You can even use rear hotel service elevator to bring your baggage to your car. This hotel is clean, modern and has a nice lobby with a big-screen tv. Breakfast was just so-so and could have been a bit fresher and better attended.
I loved watching the storks in Caceres. Definitely check out the archaeological museum.
