Certainly the hotel has all the makings of a great experience. The room was fine. However we were the only couple there. The couple left in charge spoke no English and altho the young man was helpful he was insistent that we ate at 8.30pm-45 minutes after our arrival. There was no menu , a la carte or otherwise. The dinner was mediocre. whilst breakfast was spartan. We didn't use the Swimming Pool which required a good clean out. Even allowing for it's remote location, there was something missing.

“The most romantic place I've ever been!”
El Vaqueril is an ideal place to discover the nature in Extremadura, to relax and to enjoy a tipical "Spanish finca". In addition the it is charming and an unusual place to visit.
- Liked — The natural surroundings, the French decor, the tranquility and the traditional food of the region
- Disliked — It is a charming hotel but lacks the comforts of a city hotel
