The Finca is an authentic Spanish property with family history. Our room was really sweet, in the evening was a bit cold since the heating was just put on, but on request, Joaquin lighted a large fireplace and the room became immediately warm and nice. The bed was comfortable and the environment peacefully (the main road is 7 km away). The bathroom was large and clean.
We loved the different walks possible in the property (400 hectares), it is possible to see different types of astonishing sites, with trees and small lakes, with no trees and gently hills all the way up to the horizon (in the direction to Brozas).
All sort of animals can be meet in your walks like white storks, hawks, bulls, cows, horses, and a lot of Spanish pigs (the ones of the famous jamon de bejota). For the first time I saw a fox and a monk vulture near by and that was very nice.
During my stay I ate twice in the hotel restaurant and the cook prepared very nice local dish prepared in the traditional style, the meals were served next to a big fireplace.
The breakfast was simple but nice.
The things that we liked the most have been the special atmosphere (like the old times) and the authentic charm of a real country environment. We were travelling with our pet and we had no problem to bring the dog to the Finca Vaqueril.
Furthermore travelingaround the area we discovered very nice pueblos like Garrovillas and Alcantara that we recommend to visit.
Be aware that to reach the hotel you need to drive on 7 km of unpaved surface, the road is easy but if you have a sport car can be unconfortable.
