Stayed here for a couple of nights, ok hotel, a bit past it's best. Staff friendly, nice bar area with cheap coffee. Room a bit jaded, dark, old fashioned, small, but clean enough and adequate for a couple of nights. You have to pay for parking here, but limited free parking outside the hotel. Near enough to the town and location good for travelling around this area - trujillo, monfrague national park easily reached

We stayed at this hotel in late September, booking through our travel agent. After looking at the hotel's details on the Husa website, expected just the basics which in the end is what this hotel provides. But the room was quiet and reasonably sized, staff were friendly, and the car park close to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was ample. About a 10-15 minute walk to the historical centre.

We stayed at the Husa Alcantara for two days in early August 2004.
The reception staff were all helpful and spoke good English.
Although this hotel doesn't have a pool, it is just five minutes walk from Caceres' local lido, which offers two large pools, a small cafe/restaurant and plenty of landscaped gardens, with good, clean facilities for just 2 Euros a day - great when the August heat was at its worst.

I didn;t have great expectations of the hotel, but for something that cost only 50 Euros a night through bancotel, I was more than happy.
I didn't eat in the hotel, but the menu looked reasonable, and well priced.
The hotel is just ten minutes walk from the old centre of Caceres, in an area that has a few quiet (if modern) small plazzas that nonetheless give ample opportunity for people-watching. A great place to hang out and kick your heels for a couple of days.
