My wife and I spent 2 nights at his hotel. Please fin below our comments:

Pros:

- Location is excellent if you are a tourist. Near (short walking distance) the main square and attractions.
- Our room was new and modern (different from what I read in other comments at TripAdvisor).
- Nice old/historic building.
- The staff was helpful.
- Free internet.

Cons:
- There is a lot of stairs and nobody to help with the bags, what is a shame for a 4 stars hotel.
- There is no vallet service and the closest and overpriced car park is far far away. The hotel must need a vallet service!!!
- A lot of noisy during the night due to a restaurant close the hotel.
- Overpriced but good) breakfast.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in the heart of Caceres. Our first impression was that it looked great, with a beautiful lobby and helpful, friendly staff. However we were somewhat disappointed with our room which was outdated with shoddy looking furnishings and patchy, faded carpet. The advertised 'free wifi' in the hotel lobby wasn't available, and although the buffet breakfast was substantial, so was the price. For the price of 90 euros a night there are better options in Caceres.

the location of the hotel is wonderful! If you're looking tp tour the old portion of the city, then this is the hotel for you. Our complimentary breakfast was great too (stay away from the eggs). All it all, I enjoyed my stay. The bathrooms are beautiful!

It’s hard to imagine a much better location to stay in Cáceres. The hotel opens onto the small but lovely Plaza de San Juan where you’ll also find the excellent restaurant El Figón. From here, it’s only a short walk to the Plaza Mayor and the entrance to the old city. The hotel, however, has a well-used air about it. Our room was quiet enough and it was clean, but the halls had a somewhat musty odor and as we were leaving the elevator was out of service. (Even with the elevator, you’ll need to navigate a couple of series of stairs to get luggage to your room.) The staff was pleasant enough, but busy and not especially helpful.

Municipal parking is a fair distance away, but it is possible to reach Plaza de San Juan by car and drop you luggage before making your way to the parking garage. The hotel has an arrangement with the garage that made the cost just 9 euros a day. The city’s street signs to the hotel at the start are specific, identifying it by name. As you get closer, however, they become more general—just “hotels”. Don’t be discouraged. Keep following the signs through the narrow alleys and you’ll eventually arrive at the door of Palacio de Oquendo.
