it was a funtastic getaway from delhi. though you dont save yourself from the heat but, its the location next to a mango orchard. small pool. We were lucky tt no one else was staying there that time so it was like the small resort to ourselves. Food was made as per our liking. Staff was kind to serve tea and pakodas at 2 AM.

Room was average with some AC problems but overall it was value for money.

My wife and I stated at the Mud Fort in April 2006. I was expecting the Mud Fort to be located in the middle of no where but it lies on the outskirts of a busy village and there were people all around. Our room was grandly appointed and clean with attached shower/ toilet and air conditioning but in keeping with it's "heritage" status it did not have any other modern luxuries. We were the only couple to eat in a drab restaurant come television room but we were served with a huge set meal for only 300 rupees each which was quite tasty. The Mud fort has no bar but we did order drinks from reception and sat out on the terrace. The hotel has a swimming pool for residents but it resembled a mosquito breeding pool. The water was green and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. There were only 2 other couples that we saw staying at the Mud Fort and the whole place had an air of desolation and dereliction about it. All in all I would not visit the Mud Fort again and I would not particularly recommend it to anyone else.
