Spent 2 nights at the hotel. Conveniently got picked up at the airport, by the free shuttle service - (called expedia the day before to book it for me). Arrived in the evening, it was my birthday the next day, my husband asked if there was availability to upgrade....there was....so ended up in an executive room - very spacious! Asked for extra pillows - they brought straight up......room was clean. Sauna on 3rd floor (free to everyone) which was well needed after walking around Venice.
Needed to eat at the restaurant first night. We called down to ask if we needed to book, we was told no, we went down to be told it could take 10mins it could take half hour and we will have to wait. My husband popped out and while I was standing there, Roberto the restaurant manager, had taken another couple and family of 3 through. Not one to really complain, but his response to my husband was quite abrupt and didnt care less. HOWEVER, this is no need to be put off - just to pre warn. You have a choice of buffet or menu, buffet is 20 euros each.....starters, mains and dessert - coffee and water included.
Hotel to Venice on train takes 25-30mins. It cost us 9 euros for both of us - return. On time....our tickets were checked.
