This was probably the surprise of our trip. We got a good rate so this more than compensated for not being in the middle of Venice. The train station is a 2 minutes walk away and it took us straight to Venice. Checking in was easy. The room was spacious with a queen and 2 singles for the kids. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower. (the shower head was the biggest one I have ever seen). Everything was clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. We didnt eat at the restaurant for dinner prefering to go for a walk into town. I felt very safe in this town, our family walked back to the hotel at night without us even thinking that we may not be safe. There is free internet access, which was great, particularly for the kids. The bonus was the free shuttle service to the airport. We were allowed a late check out and the shuttle service arrived on time.

I hope the management read these reviews, but I doubt it. The hotel was clean and location was excellent for venice as its situated next to the railway station. I can't fault the reception they were most polite and helpful. However the problem came as we (and several other guests) waited at the bar for a drink, we waited and waited and waited. We had to ask reception twice to get somebody, they did and crash bang wallop came the most miserable bar women ever. She was simply rude and just didn't want to be there. The tray was thrown down and she could not make any more noise if she could ! We got our drink and watched other guests come and go without drinks. This was obviously a part time bar and then other guests got the same treatment, it was embarassing watching all the customers leave disappointed and thirsty! Breakfast was fine and no problems with service but for dinner we prefer somewhere with a bit of atmosphere and less standard hotel food so took a 10 mins walk into town where we were treated to the best italian meal we have ever tasted and brilliant value for money! must be good the whole town was in their enjoying a great meal.

Spent 2 nights at the hotel. Conveniently got picked up at the airport, by the free shuttle service - (called expedia the day before to book it for me). Arrived in the evening, it was my birthday the next day, my husband asked if there was availability to upgrade....there was....so ended up in an executive room - very spacious! Asked for extra pillows - they brought straight up......room was clean. Sauna on 3rd floor (free to everyone) which was well needed after walking around Venice.
Needed to eat at the restaurant first night. We called down to ask if we needed to book, we was told no, we went down to be told it could take 10mins it could take half hour and we will have to wait. My husband popped out and while I was standing there, Roberto the restaurant manager, had taken another couple and family of 3 through. Not one to really complain, but his response to my husband was quite abrupt and didnt care less. HOWEVER, this is no need to be put off - just to pre warn. You have a choice of buffet or menu, buffet is 20 euros each.....starters, mains and dessert - coffee and water included.
Hotel to Venice on train takes 25-30mins. It cost us 9 euros for both of us - return. On time....our tickets were checked.

This hotel was comfortable. The staff at the front desk were VERY nice and helpful....especially Elena. The rooms were very spacious as were the bathrooms. For a free ride from the airport to the hotel, be sure to call and schedule a pickup PRIOR to your arrival. This hotel is not close to the airport but is very close to Venice. The train stop is behind the hotel, so it is very convenient. The trains are not loud either so there is no cause for alarm in staying in any of the rooms facing the tracks. The town of Quarto d'Altino is really quaint and charming and only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. We bought water and snacks at a grocery store, ate delicious gelato at a small shop, had a wonderful cannoli at a cute bar/pastry shop, ate delicious pizza and calzones at a shop near the laundry mat where we washed clothes. This town felt like more of an Italian experience than Venice since not many of the locals spoke English and there weren't any souvenir stands. Everyone was SO friendly and willing to take the time to help us even though we don't speak Italian. The hotel and the town were great! I highly recommend staying here for an affordable price rather than in overpriced, touristy Venice.
