“Beautiful property in a quiet area!”

My husband and I spent 3 weeks traveling around Italy. During this entire time, we had use of a rental car which allowed us to visit many places and to stay at different B&B's and hotels. This hotel has the "wow" factor. It is situated on a huge property, beautifully landscaped with olive trees, fruit trees, and flowers and all this with the mountains in the background. It has an air of sophistication and class that one doesn't usually see in such a small town. We were truly amazed with the impressive grounds and large chic reception area.

Pros: Clean, Bright & modern rooms(although a bit austere looking), Nice sized hotel room with large bathroom, quick internet service, small fridge included, free and large parking area, nice breakfast area with sufficient choices, extremely helpful & courteous staff especially at the reception area, Great restaurant on their property(expensive for such a small area but comparable to prices in Venice & Rome) serves delicious food, and the best thing of all only a 20 minute car ride from amazing Assisi...

Cons: Shower stall door in room 330 did not close properly....reception offered to switch us to another room but we had already unpacked....door was promptly fixed the next day but still gaped open about 1/2 an inch. Smell of sewage was pretty strong in the mornings especially in the stairwell. Beds were not firm but unbearably hard....had to ask for 2 blankets which I had to fold in 4's each, to provide extra cushioning. Hotel's restaurant is on their property but not attached or accessible from within the hotel itself...you had to go outside & walk to another building to get to their restaurant which we thought was poor planning on their part.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony!

“Umbrias best kept secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

I can't give high enough praise to this property. It was immaculate, Biggest room and shower/bathroom on my 4 week trip to UK/Europe. Room was cleaned to spotless standard each day. Pool was huge. Clients were mainly family groups with children so no loud music and noise at nights. Breakfast was the best provided during my stay in Italy. Receptionists were the best - they could all speak a little English and were so hospitable and helpful to me as i was travelling on my own and could not speak Italian. The receptionist managed to hire me a bike and each morning gave enough directions for me to get from a to b (had a very limited english road map). Alot of Belgiums were repeat clients as the place is so cheap and nice compared to alot of properties. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with an outside balcony (chairs outside of ground floor room).

“Relaxing beyond words”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst meeting up with family over from Australia. We had a superior double which contained a large king size bed plus a single. If we stayed again we would probably only book a standard double as we really didn't need that much space, but it did have the benefit of a private terrace. The room was very large with plenty of wardrobe space and a well fitted out bathroom. It was spotless. The reception area is very large and spacious, but the downstairs corridors are a little uninspired & gloomy. Having eaten in the local restaurants the hotel restaurant is very over priced for what it is. Very disappointed that the bread came out in little paper bags which had clearly been put in the microwave to be reheated. The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. Their English was excellent.

“fantastic peaceful hotel a perfect location”

What an amzing hotel. Stayed for four nights didn't want to leave. Waking up in the morning to the birds singing and the rustling of the leaves on the trees. Go onto the balcony and look over the beautiful kept grounds to the stunning Umbrian scenery. The room was huge - the most comfortable hotel bed ever. The bathroom was large with loads of hot water. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are so friendly with nothing too much trouble. Delfina is close to road links to Rome but there is no traffic noise just peace and quiet. We ate in the restaurant and that was equally fantastic. Not expensive and beautifully cooked. Would recommend this hotel and we will certainly return hopefully later this year

“A beautiful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2009

We've stayed just one night at this marvelous hotel in Foligno. The hotel is new and the furniture are trendy. They have a giant garden with roses and olive trees. The view from the windows are spectacular and relaxing. The TV has many channels, the room are spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. The hotel is easy to be found, but it's a bit away from the city centre. The restaurant was closed when we were there, and we'd drive to a restaurant to dinner. Then, the hotel is more recommended if you are travelling by car.
The wi-fi Internet isn't free, you pay by a day use.
