My husband and I spent 3 weeks traveling around Italy. During this entire time, we had use of a rental car which allowed us to visit many places and to stay at different B&B's and hotels. This hotel has the "wow" factor. It is situated on a huge property, beautifully landscaped with olive trees, fruit trees, and flowers and all this with the mountains in the background. It has an air of sophistication and class that one doesn't usually see in such a small town. We were truly amazed with the impressive grounds and large chic reception area.
Pros: Clean, Bright & modern rooms(although a bit austere looking), Nice sized hotel room with large bathroom, quick internet service, small fridge included, free and large parking area, nice breakfast area with sufficient choices, extremely helpful & courteous staff especially at the reception area, Great restaurant on their property(expensive for such a small area but comparable to prices in Venice & Rome) serves delicious food, and the best thing of all only a 20 minute car ride from amazing Assisi...
Cons: Shower stall door in room 330 did not close properly....reception offered to switch us to another room but we had already unpacked....door was promptly fixed the next day but still gaped open about 1/2 an inch. Smell of sewage was pretty strong in the mornings especially in the stairwell. Beds were not firm but unbearably hard....had to ask for 2 blankets which I had to fold in 4's each, to provide extra cushioning. Hotel's restaurant is on their property but not attached or accessible from within the hotel itself...you had to go outside & walk to another building to get to their restaurant which we thought was poor planning on their part.
