Stayed in the hotel San Vincenzo late August 2007. The hotel is ideally located in close proximity to the beach. The beach is directly across the road. The room was of average size with air conditioning. The Double bed was two twin beds joined together. Very comfortable however very hard pillows. The room also had a couch. The bathroom was a nice size with shower. The room service was excellent and cleaned to a high standard daily as was the hotel general areas. The only problem with the hotel was the food. Breakfast consisted of a buffet breakfast with a selection of two cereals. The juices were not fresh and tasted very artificial. The fruit selection was minimal and of poor quality. There was also a selection of meats and one type of cheese. After two mornings dining in the restaurant for breakfast we decided to have ours in the street coffee shop for the remainder of the holiday. We booked half board. The dinner menu was placed on our table each morning for breakfast. We had to pre-select our food choice each day. Hence we ate in the hotel restaurant once and that was it. Overall we had a pleasant stay but food not good. There are plenty of eateries on the strip. I would recommend Ciao Ciao. The food was excellent there and of a good standard. The area itself is not aesthetically pleasing however if you want a rest, beach, eateries close by - then letoianni is it. There is a bus that goes on the hour to Taormina which is typical italian town. (Ask reception for details on the bus - they call it the funybus.

We spent a week in Hotel St Vincenzo in October 2006 and in general found it a really pleasant stay. The hotel staff we the most helpful, friendly and welcoming we have ever met. The hotel itself is beautifully styled and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. Letojanni is a beautiful and unspoiled location with a lovely small town atmosphere. Getting to and from Taormina (the nearest large town) was straight forward and inexpensive. The only fault we found with the hotel was the food. As an italian food fanatic, I have to say it was nowhere near up to scratch but for a quick snack (and pint) the al fresco bar adjacent to the hotel was tasty. So all in all if you are looking for a nice place in Letojanni I cant recommend St Vincenzo enough but dont go for the all inclusive meals option. Oh and be sure to take the evening trip to Etna........ amazing!!
