The hotel is attractive with a lot of detail paid to the decor and architecture but there are a few negative points. First of all there is very little street parking, even in April. I cannot imagine what it would be like in August. They charge a hefty 35 euros per day for hotel parking which I thought was a joke at first - but no! The two main languages used are Italian and German. The staff seemed shocked that we could not speak either of the two. We tried in both English and French and some of the staff were able to respond. The staff at the reception were a bit hit and miss. A couple of them were very nice but the majority were quite rude and dismissive. Generally speaking, the staff would not acknowledge the guests when they passed by, which I found very unpleasant. The indoor pool as it is called, is nothing but a postage stamp area of the pool that joins the outside pool through a kind of veranda. It is not heated and does not provide an alternative to outdoor swimming on chilly days. The private beach is just a closed off area from the main beach. It is very small and fenced of with an unattractive metallic grill. The closest supermarket - and the only one within miles - is tiny and runs out of basics, such as bread and vegetables very early on in the day. The WIFI broke down at the hotel and guests were unable to connect to the Internet. No deadline for the resolution was provided. On the whole, it was an ok place, nothing more. I would not go back with my family a second time.
