“Excellent place for Golfers & for ALL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2007

Hiya,

Just returned from our annual golfing holiday in Le Touquet and at last we've found somewhere in 8 years, where it's reasonably priced, very clean, spacious, excellent self-catering, good hot power shower, clean beds, ideal location and overall an excellent place to stay. We had 2 golfers in each apartment, but you can easily get 3 in 1 apartment w/o feeling boxed in. Though I didn't get the chance to try the pool, it look clean & inviting. The apartment even had a TV - which you didn't need to pay for. Other hotels charge for this. The kitchen facilities were also excellent, with a good cold fridge (for those beers after the golf) and even a dish washer & a (clean modern) mircowave. I don't normally write reviews, but I had to this time. Well done PV!!! And see you next year! Mr. C

“Great location”

Booked as an economy half term break with family of five. Not many hotels catering for 5 persons and over. Great location, beautiful area only disapointment was that we were told we couldnt get into room until after 5pm and we had arrived on afternoon ferry took time travelling to resort but still arrived early but no access to reception, key pad entry, tried later and found envelope with keys in a basket at reception so would have been able to go to our room earlier if someone had let us in. only down side noisy with other residents dragging chairs across floor in upstairs apartment. Would use it again went Sunday to Friday but families coming and going all time great for long weekends

“Friendly staff and clean rooms”

We stayed in the studio room for 3/4 persons, which was adequate for 2 adults and 2 children under 5. Very good standard of accomodation for a very reasonably priced three nights holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful. The boys loved the swimming pool (defintely unheated!!) and were very upset to leave to come back home. Would certainly go back there and based on this experience have been looking at their website at their other properties throughout France.

Shame the weather wasn't as good!!!

“family visit to Le Touquet”

We have just returned from our first holiday in Le Touquet. The accomodation was very clean and the kitchen well equipped with microwave, kettle ,coffee maker, hob, fridge/freezer ,dishwasher (tablets provided) etc. Bathroom was smart and modern, towels were provided. We stayed in a apartment for up to 5 people, the bedroom had 3 comfortable single beds sheets pillow cases, pillows and duvets provided. The tv in the lounge area broadcast BBC1,BBC2,ITV1 and CH4 as well as other channels Staff were polite and helpful. We were traveling with 2 children aged 5 and 7 and they made good use of the indoor heated pool, loungers were available at no charge. We used local shops and the Champion supermarket in Le Touquet (-see their website for a map) for shopping. Ponies were for hire at the nearby equestrian centre 8 euros for 1/2 hour, where you lead your child on the pony along woody tracks, our children really enjoyed this.Cycling is very popular here and bikes can be hired through the hotel or if you have brought your own there is space to store them.

“Standard P&V accom. made special by attentive staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2006

The Opaline apartments are pretty standard Pierre et Vacances accommodation - smallish living quarters containing sofa beds, with a small corner kitchen. They seem to have been decorated recently, however, and the bathrooms are very smart. When booking, which can be done directly through their excellent web site, we never take any notice of the stated maximum occupancy - there were three of us(me and two children) and we booked an apartment for 6/7. One double bed, one 'cabine' (small room) with bunk beds, plus the sofa beds and an extra pull out bed under a sofa.

The location promised breathtaking views, but our balconies overlooked the car park - preferable, I think, to the rooms on the other side of the building which overlooked the swimming pool.
The pool was excellent, but a bit weird. It has a lining which seemed to be very loose and, in fact, was coming away from the pool edge on our second day. It was being quickly fixed though.

As these are apartments, your beds will not be made every day - you are expected to do it yourself, and to clean your kitchen area thoroughly before you leave. The P&V concept is an odd mixture of hotel and apartment, but it is ideal especially for families, who do not want to have to visit restaurants every meal - the kitchen contains everything you need, from salad spinner to tea pot.

What set this P&V apart from others II have visited was the staff. They were friendly, informative and helpful. I look forward to visiting again.
