“Nice Hotel, friendly staff, tired room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

person found this review helpful

Just used this hotel for an overnight stop as we do with other Novotels, the public areas (reception, bar and restaurant) were an excellent standard, really clean and modern. The bedroom however was quite small and dated especially the 'sprayed on effect' rendering on the wall and the air conditioning was pretty poor. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the restaurant staff, we didn't get a chance to use the spa facilities but there were a lot of clients wandering around in dressing gowns who had, this was a little disconcerting when we went down for breakfast and half the people in the room were still in dressing gowns!

Room Tip: If you're staying longer than 1 night go for a room with sea-view, the views are stunning!

“Not good value for money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

This must be one of the most expensive Novotels in the world, so you you would expect something extra for your money. OK, the location is right on the beach and you can go to sleep with the sound of the ocean in the background. But the room was small with a bit of wear and tear. Most annoyingly, when you try to use the pool and finally find some kind of reception, you are given a postage stamp sized towel and then, when you finally make the pool are, are told that you must got to Level 1 and get a mandatory "bonnet/hat" that must be worn in the pool - for 4 Euro. If you are paying 250 Euros for one night, you would expect this to be provided or easily accesible! if it was less than half the room rate I would give it 3 to 4 stars.

“It's a Novotel, with a good view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

What you see is what you get with Novotels, and from time to time that can be a very good thing. Forget about character and charm, this is a modern hotel with good beds and clean bathrooms. Its main attraction is its situation on a spectacular beach.
Most people staying here are "taking the waters" at the Thalasso Centre and if the sight of people rambling around in white dressing gowns, lending a somewhat clinical air to the place, doesn't put you off, then it is a very pleasant place to stay for a night or two and the restaurant is good.
We were more than a little surprised to be asked to pay in advance on arrival, especially as we had stayed there several times before. According to the receptionist, this was because we made our booking by phone. It did make us feel a bit like criminals, though, as we have never left a hotel without paying.........Surely a credit card imprint is enough?
Management take note.

Room Tip: Obviously, the rooms facing the sea have better views.

“Nice Hotel, near town centre yet right next to the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We stayed at this Hotel with our Dutch friends en-route from our Spanish Villa to Home in the Uk and Holland.
It was a well placed stop-over for both families.
The superior rooms which we paid extra for came with spectacular sea views, and it felt like we were right on the Beach when looking at the view.
The Restaurant also shares similar sea views. The menu has a good comprehensive choice, and is of good quality. The Breakfast is of the Buffet type, and has a very good choice of cereals, french breads, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon etc etc, and is all of a high quality.
The Hotel has its own fitness centre, swimming pool etc, which unfortunately we didn't get to use, but nonetheless did have a look around, and will use it one day when we return and have more time to spend at Le Touquet. Le Touquet centre is a small walk from the hotel and is a Beatiful French town with many classy restaurants, shops etc. The Hotel is situated almost on the Beach, so is very accessible for walkers.
The staff were very attentive, and very pleasant. We will be making this hotel a favourite stop-over when en-route to our Spanish Villa.

“GOOD VALUE, GREAT POSITION, EXCELLENT CHOICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the recent years and have always enjoyed the experience.

For a family with younger children, beach lovers or those fond of bracing winds and sand in every crevice, this is the perfect spot right on the beach. And the rooms are very pleasant, bright and airy and in the beach-side rooms a view to die for. The facilities in the hotel are very good and the restaurant dishes up more than acceptable grub.

No this is not luxury grand hotel living, but for the price you pay you get very good value, comfortable accommodation in a prime position on Le Touquet's famed sandy seashore.

Room Tip: Try and get sea views
