Stayed here for around a week in early September for business and was impressed.

The service by the staff was very good in all areas, check in and out process was quick.

The rooms were to a high decorative standard and I did not find any issues during my stay. The attached restaurant ran a comprehensive and good quality complimentary breakfast and the evening meals there were also very good indeed.

Internet access was fast and reliable, the hotel gym whilst small was adequate. I did not try the sauna, but it appears to have same sex set times. The hotel also had a computer and printer guests can use for free.

Location was good for Lappeenranta itself ( not that there is anything to see or do in the town ) and 8 minutes taxi ride from the airport.

Best hotel in Lappeenranta, we think. Centrally located and good service. The rooms have recently been renovated, but the fitted capet in the corridors are still worn out. The rooms are a little bit small, but otherwise ok. There are no king size beds in the hotel, only twin beds pulled together. The superior rooms has a park view only, but on the other hand there is a road between the hotel and the park. Also the music from the harbour can be heard to the superior rooms. So, if you value good sleep you might choose a room facing to the backyard (only standard rooms and without amenities). Air condition not very efficient. A small fitness center with good view. Breakfast just ok, nothing special. Free parking outside, inside 5€/night.

We stayed here on a tour of Finland to catch the end of the sandcastle exhibition. The rooms were very good value, each had a small balcony overlooking the quiet road to the fortress. The staff are very helpful with tourist information providing us with complimentary tickets for a boat tour of Lake Saimaa and the Vyborg Canal and pointing out that the hotel had free internet for the use of guests.
