This Scandic hotel like some of its brothers in Scandinavia has decided that being eco-friendly meant cutting down on service. For instance the bathroom there had one towel, one hand-towel, no robe, no bathroom carpet. I stayed at some hotels where I got 13 towels, 2 robes and 2 bathroom carpets (I counted). Surely there is a middle ground somewhere. The bathroom included a moth and two shampoo dispensers fixed on the walls so that you feel like you were in a public toilet place.
The room had no curtain to block the view, so either it is pitch black in the room or you have to get dressed in the tiny wet (no carpet, remember?) bathroom. There is generally a poor attention to details I think, the TV set was not ready and had to be reset before delivering menu access to their interactive system, some screws were left in the walls after God knows what was removed, the straps of the fold-in bed were hanging loose out of its cabinet, no bathroom carpet (seriously I don't like wet tiles under my feet when I am getting dressed). The elevator (or the service lift, I am not so sure) indicates 0 when you reach the 6th floor, which reminded me of Disney parks' "Tower of Terror".
I believe the hotel must have been fresher at some point (I see some other reviews that indicated the hotel was fresh two months ago, so I might be very picky or they might have been very unlucky with their previous hotel stays - in any case it was not fresh for a hotel with 3 alleged stars). The location is not that great if you don't have a car. I saw many families there though and many cars parked, so I must assume it's a good place if you can move by your own means. The price was reasonable when booked and paid online.
The mini fridge had no good in it, nor was the room equipped with a bottle opener for the drinks inside, pretty useless. Probably to lure you towards their not so good restaurant. There the service is not so great (not so much by lack of good will but probably more because I have yet to see a Scandinavian food place with good service). The restaurant has no ambiance, no personality, no music, and little choice in what you eat. The price was also not enticing: 320SEK (233DKK I think) for one person with no wine and no desert. Food isn't fresh either, rather on the dry side. Breakfast (included in the room charge which is nice seeing how cheap it was) was pretty good and had a lot of choice to it though (different kind of cheeses, ham, yoghurts, pancakes, eggs, different types of breads, tea and coffee, a few reconstituted juices, etc.).
Some more information: the (non-flat screen) TV has no cinch input. Your included Internet connection is only valid on one device at a time. It will cost you 140DKK to go to the train station (or go from the station to the hotel, of course).
