This was an overnight stop on a road trip, and almost completely pleased I made this choice. Building is certainly one of the older classic roadside Holiday Inn's being a two-story building with multiple entrances depending on wing you are in with the center "Holidome" pool area, but well-maintained. Room was very clean with no known problems in terms of cleanliness. Bed was comfortable and featured the modern Holiday Inn bed linens. Room I had was also actually pretty spacious with enough room for not only a king sized bed but also a couch (not sure if it was a pull-out or not). Modern flat-screen television that worked fine for me, plus also flawless internet connection.
Bathroom was typical size bathroom for a mid-level hotel - not overly spacious but certainly enough space to take care of bathroom needs. Somewhat outdated tile and countertop, but again everything worked well and comfortably.
My room had a small fridge and microwave - nice touch though only used it to keep water cool - though they provided a few small bottles of water which was also appreciated.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful from check-in, to bar for an evening beverage, to server for breakfast, to Front Desk agent at check-out. The staff actually helped make the difference between a "3" and "4" rating.
Items to note: given its location and older construction, you will have highway noise if on that side of the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, this will be a problem. Also, while heating/AC unit itself was modern, it is controlled by an older thermostat that you either have the unit on "high fan", or not at all. Again, light sleepers may find this to be an issue.
All said, I would have little hesitation staying again, though might request a room facing the back.
