Ok place, small rooms - like very!!

Staff are great but they are spread thin, two no no's from me - hate standing on beds to operate the curtains and cheap dry cleners plastic hangers - only 3 and when \i asked for more I git given WIRE ones, another no no.

Fast breakfasts, good staff service, overall OK but place is a little tired - WiFi is slow too.

Reception over-staffed, unhelpful and extremely rude

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times before with no real issues but this stay has put me off staying again.
The Air Con tower had to be changed twice because one was too noisy and the next one kept on fusing the lights. I left my key with the hotel staff (as I was on crutches, I could not climb on a chair and hit the switch myself) and was told that they would sort out my lights while I was out. Upon my return my key had not been left for me, I had to be let in via the master key and the lights were still not on. The air con tower had to be changed again because that fused the lights again.
Breakfast was a farce! I ordered just the sausages as I only wanted a sandwich for breakfast. One slice of toast came out. I explained to the server that I want to make a sandwich and she said she would return with some more toast. A few minutes later, I was presented with what was obviously the last slice of the very end of the loaf cut diagonally and very over done. I was told that more toast was coming. After waiting another five minutes I gave up and ate my sausages. About ten minutes later a gentleman came out with two slices of white toast to the lady sat at the adjacent table. She said she was waiting for brown bread and that this toast may have been for our table. As I had already finished my sausage ten minutes earlier, I told the man I no longer wanted it. The lady at the adjacent table had also finished her breakfast and also no longer wanted to wait for her brown toast.
Very poor service and very disappointed. Great shame as the manager is very nice, friendly and welcoming but the facilities and breakfast really let it down.

We received a very warm welcome from a friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean and comfortable and linen changed each day. It is also the most economical base we know for exploring London- with the station just a few steps away which takes you to London Waterloo in an hour. We have stayed in the centre of London for double the price and accomodation not a patch on this.
