“Valentine weekend”

Great checkin, room lovely, modern, comfortable and spotless. Used the leisure facilities which was great to unwind. Dinner was lovely, the waiting staff and Manager were very attentive and friendly. The bar had a lovely roaring fire to relax by. Breakfast was delicious. Was treated to a facial which lasted for 75 minutes and finished the weekend off perfectly. A very enjoyable stay.

“Brilliant Stay”

We have just returned from another fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. Faultless is the only way we can describe our stay here. The restaurant service and food were amazing. We have two young daughters and the waiters were so helpful and kind to them that we managed 3 courses with ease. The leisure facilities were great (pool nice and warm) and the gym had everthing that i needed. We will stay here again, very soon hopefully.

“A warm and welcome hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

A very good stay at this holiday inn plenty of free parking on arrival, the check in was polite and efficient. The room was an executive room on the top floor which was very quiet and clean. The heating worked well once it was switched on good thing as it was well below freezing outside. Dinner in the restaurant was good, a small menu but something for most tastes, the restaurant was quiet so starter and dinner arrived in good time and tasted good. Breakfast consists of a standard buffet which has some nice locally made sausages on offer.
Overall a very nice comfortable stay and will definitely be back if in the area.

“It's OK. It does exactly what it says on the tin.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Not bad, just not particularly good.

Clean, friendly staff.

Rooms a bit small (not much that can be done about that!). Fairly well presented.

A typical (older) Holiday Inn.

Breakfast could have been better.

Warning: has one of the maddest room numbering and corridor arrangements that you will ever come across.

“Good hotel for business visitors”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This was my third time at the Holiday Inn Bromsgrove within two years. The hotel is being renovated slowly. The service at my last visit was ok set aside the wake up call on the Friday January 27. I was fortunate to open a eye an woke up 30 minutes prior to my client pick up arrangement. No time for the full breakfast (expensive @ GBP 13.95 but really decent) but grabbed a coffee to go for GGP 3.50. Ouch! For ten punds more ... I should had have the breakfast to go too! One night, my spouse calls could not be transferred to my room. I had to go to the reception lobbby to received the call with no privacy. The hotel reception staff are friendly so as the baretenders. It is a great area to visit. If you are flying from Birmingham and want to save taxi money, do not take the black taxis at the airport. They will charge you GBP 55 to 60 for a 30 miinutes ride. Call Ray's Taxi! @ -----. He will arrange to pick you up or drop you off for a GBP 35 on way! He is a very nice man! his email -----. The HI website indicate taxi fares from the airport for GBP 26. Not true!

Room Tip: Do not take the "Basement" 100 series room.
