cheap basic accommodation - ideal for students and youngsters. noisy area, bars/clubs etc. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The rooms are really basic. The beds are unbelievably uncomfortable. it's all pretty clean though. the outside of the hotel looks really grim and makes things seem worse. both pool areas are clean. you don't get noise from other rooms or the corridors but it's very noisy with people coming back in the early hours outside.

I couldn't decide whether to rate St George's 2 stars or 3. It's poor compared to other, more expensive hotels, however for the price, I would describe it as average. It's a budget hotel so there's no point expecting all the amenities and services of a 4/5 star hotel. Best to think of it as a hostel and adjust your expectations accordingly. The rooms are basic but clean, and housekeeping came each day. The hand-held shower is admittedly terrible and I was not sorry to say goodbye to that! It can get quite noisy from drunk teenagers making noise on the way home from a night out, or construction work early in the morning, but for the price, what do you expect? It's perfect for young people who want a cheap, central base while they're partying in all the boom boom bars in Paceville, but otherwise I would recommend spending a little more and staying elsewhere.

Please listen to the other reviews - they are all correct! I visited this hotels with friends for a relaxing break. The hotel was very dated, plyboard beds with 3" mattress ( my friend only got 3 hours sleep the beds were so hard.. Doors to balcony did not lock. No carpet in corridors so noise travels. Hotel is next to 3 nightclubs and a number of bars, also a huge car park is being built right in front - looks like a metal monster. The bar near to the hotel was very nice and we used this to start the evening, a waitress advised us the car park started to be built 2 years ago and still not finished - she also told us our hotel is more for students that come for the nightclubs and this area does not get many tourists!. One evening we had to get thru 100s of young students to get to our hotel as they seemed to take over the road. Also someone was being sick right by the hotel entrance. Swimming pool ok but no shade and complete concrete with no grass. I will not be returning!! - If your 18 and want nightlife and not bothered about the accomodation then this is for you!

Myself and my partner stayed here the week of the 6th to the 13th of sep this year.We were going to a wedding.So sorry now that we didnt spend a little more time looking for better accomadation . The shower had no hot water,and was not fixed all week even after numerous requests,it was also hand held with very poor flow.The ceiling fan was hanging loose from the ceiling.The noise every night in the hallways was terrible.Our balcony was facing on to a building site,it also had no furniture and when i requested some they left two chairs,but when we got back to the hotel after anight out the students in the room next were having a party on their balcony and had borrowed our chairs.And last of all the disco across from where we were staying stayed going till 5 in the morning.Its not all bad though,the sheets and towels were changed everyday,the pool area was very nice and the rececption area was very nice.All in all its a great venue if you are under 21 and not bothered about noise and just need a place to rest your head, but if your like me heading for the big 40 and like a bit of peace & quiet then these apartments are not for you.
