I can only really remember the bad parts of this holiday (our honeymoon!!). The room was one of the most boring and uninspiring rooms ive ever stayed in- worse than a travel lodge and at least travelodge have television with channels you can understand! The food in the ala carte restaurant was no such thing, it was lukewarm rubbery muck. The man on the reception at night was miserable as sin and should probably retire. A joke.

Thank god the nightmare finished. It was only for three nights. Everything was really bad, the reception was very rude and the breakfast was like not breakfast at a hotel. I honestly believe it is like 1 star hotel. The only purpose to like this hotel is if you like hearing music all night and offcourse not to sllep at all. It was absolutely a bad nighmare.

this hotel was ok due the location , even if sleeping at night wa just impossible!!!!sometimes I woke up at night (3-4 in the morning) my heart beating faster and could not fall asleep again befor an hour!!!
the staff at reception is very helpful and kind but the cleanliness was very poor... I have got long black hair wichi is very visible on the floor after I brush it and day after day my hair was forming a soft mat!!! nice....
breakfast was poor for a 4* hotel and the restaurant was very "cold"... in the swimming pool i think there was not any disinfectant product coz the water didnt smell of anything... weird... and I had a kind of feeling the water in the shower was a bit salty, but maybe it was just my taste!!!

Just got back from weekend break to Malta. Chose to stay in Hotel Bernard for it's central location. Was a bit concerned about the place having read reviews on this site. On arrival the reception staff were courtious and helpful and allowed us to lock our bags in a secure room as we were too early to check in. Later, when we were going up to our rooms, a man in the lift said we should prepare ourselves for a shock as it was definitely not a 4* hotel so we were a bit apprehensive opening our room door! However, our room was fine (509). Spotlessly clean and plenty big enough. Air con, Digital safe in the wardrobe, flat screen TV, fridge. Best of all it was an internal room so it just had a window looking out into a central shaft. That was great because there was a nice breeze but none of the noise from the road or surrounding bars. The beds were really comfy too. The coffee bar next to the hotel serves delicious chocolate croissants and coffee and the Irish Bar is great. The manager Charlie and barman Diego were really friendly. Beware if you are over 18 going out in Paceville on a Saturday night as you will feel ancient!!!!!!!
